Such an open ended question. To you mean which flavor or what type. I am a lover of high end ice creams. Forget Breyer's or Hood. I want only the best, and will pay a premium for it. I seek those only with the highest fat content and the lowest air and crystallization. You truly get what you pay for. On the lower rend of the price range I will opt for Friendly's (believe it or not). But, I need the richest confections available. Of course, Haagen Dasz, Ben and Jerry's (the best for unusual and tasty varieties), Godiva, Turkey Hill, and even Edy's are really good. Creamy, dense, and well crafted. But, I have found one recently that supersedes all others, to my surprise. It is, ta-ta-da-da-da: Starbuck's Java Chunk, a most delicious coffee ice cream with super great mouth feel, the smoothest melting, sumptuous pieces of high quality chocolate you can imagine. No fudge swirl or (yech) cookies and cream can even come close to being comparable. Take my sincere advise and try it.

chocolate chip cookie dough. I used to live in Texas and would buy the Blue Bell brand, but then I moved back to Vermont so I had to go with Ben and Jerry's, only they don't make it anymore! So now I like Half-Baked. It's very similar. But Blue Bell was my favorite brand. Oh, Coffee comes in as a close second.

If you're talking about brand - then Blue Bell, a Texas brand that (unfortunately) isn't sold anywhere else is the best I have ever had (although Blue Bunny [no relation] here in Washington state is pretty good). As to flavors - Blue Bell makes a pecan pralines and cream flavor that will put 10 pounds on you just by LOOKING at it - but it's gooooooooood! :-)
