next time you feel like that about someone remeber how you feel right now and ask him otu or at least drop some hints, dont hesitate
(that goes for other girls out there too)
most people (male and female) are more attracted to people who we know like us
if the gf he has now doesnt last long then try to get in there after they break up

Looks like the only thing you can do is keep on being his friend. Who knows if you are right for each other he will like you the same and break it off with his girlfriend but i wouldnt hold your breath.
