Would the world be better or worse and for whom, orwould it just different? After all Europe has been conquered and reconquered throughout its existence, many times by ruthless dictators. Would Germany be a superpower? Would the world have found out about the holocaust and would Israel exist?

Really, I don't believe the conquer the world argument. I've heard that that was propaganda. Regardless that would be a great overestimation of Germany's military ability and an underestimation of internal and external resistance.

Crusty old fart, you should see my earlier detail. I think thats a hugely alarmist view. The world has never been conquered before, and I believe it never will be. Regardless the military logistics and capability for a land invasion of North America would be huge, and no doubt give us plenty of warning. Not to mention that both countries were net importers from the US, before the war started that is.

The U.S. was the strongest and leading Ally. If the Allies surrendered that means that the U.S. had been defeated, that it had surrendered. If the U.S. was defeated, than you know the answer, or should. A Hegemony would exist over all the nations, including the US. It would have no trading partners. Capitalism would not exist and any trade would be limited to secret underground trade within the "old" U.S. borders. There would be NO individual freedom at all. All nations would be under the totalitarian control of Germany, who would plunder all- uber alles. This is what the Soviet Union did to its satellites.
If the U.S. surrendered it means that it accepted the German terms and that means full totalitarian control.
There is no possible way that if the Allies surrendered, yet the U.S. the leading Ally, remained as it was before the war.
The bomb would of have to have been used before the war's end.
That is how the experts controlling the war in Iraq believe, that you may somehow allow surrender, and yet still have a fighting chance, they do not believe enough in America virtue to fight war all out.
Fortunately, the primary Ally, the U.S. fought WWII all out to win.

Assuming Germany's military was MANY times more powerful than they actually were, they would had to have launched an overseas attack on the United States while keeping Russia from advancing and re occupying the land. The US would be the next most powerful nation and would either have to have been stopped or somehow convinced to join the cause (which wouldn't have happened). And obviously the United States would have never given up in the face of something like that. So assuming they completely destroyed the US on their own soil (lets assume they were able to get ahold of Atom bombs) then there would be no America, no Jews, no African Americans, etc... and a strict communist government. German politicians would occupy whats left of the US Government and the survivors of today in the US and Europe would be speaking German. With control like that they would most likely be the only worlds superpower. I'm sure genetic engineering with stem cells and what not would be most important right now, to develop the perfect white supremest. Japan and other countries would never escalate there military powers in fear of the Nazi's, and of course the Germans would never allow it. Imagine a government with infinite power and unlimited money without the limitations of moral obligation or the fear of any resistance. They would control everything. None of this terrorist **** would be happening. There would be a Zero Tolerance for that BS and just drop about 20 Nuclear bombs on the suspected country or people. Eventually everyone would migrate to Germany if they haven't already already taken over the remaining countries for protection. Unless the Nazi government fell apart from inside, I could easily see them being the supreme super power for hundreds of years, which I'm sure they could have. No matter what though, there was no way in hell they were even close to winning. The allies just came late in the game. Sometimes I wish America was the same way when it came to times of war though. We should have Zero Tolerance for that **** and if they don't live in America, they're screwed. It's the only way for world peace is with absolute domination. Just pure and complete fear of the US. Instead, we try and be nice about things but still get **** on.

For sure Israel would not exist. If Germany didn't end up fighting against Italy and Japan after the Allies surrendered, Hitler might have gone on to conquer the world. If Germany wins in Europe, we would have a lot less English speakers.
Who knows to what extremes Hitlers warped personality would have led him to-racial genocide?
If the Allies had lost, the Axis would have control of all of Eurasia, North America and Asia. Taking over Africa and South America would be easy.
Hitler overextended himself that was his big problem, thats probably what would happen here in which case his 1000 year Reich would crumble from within.

A hypothetical question deserves a hypothetical answer.

There would be no United States of America, for one thing. The nation as we know it would be divided in half between Germany and Japan (the Axis Powers) and would include what used to be Canada. Europe would be still under an Iron Curtain but the controller would be Germany. Russia would be divided up into parcels between Germany and Japan. Japan would have control over all of Asia, while Germany would control Australia and New Zealand.

There would be no free travel between regions and any travel would require approval from authorities. Improper documents would bring immediate execution. Any voice of dissent would be stifled by firing squad (in the German occupied territories) or beheading (in the Japanese occupied territories).

All employment would be by approval of authorities and would resemble the class system depicted in the novel "1984" by George Orwell. On that note, there would be no libraries as we know them. They would only have government approved literature. You would be required to salute any Nazi officer or official even if still a civilian. You would be required to bow to a Japanese officer or official.

Is America starting to sound like a pretty good place? Aren't we thankful for the men and women who serve this nation in the armed forces dedicated to protecting our freedoms and those who gave their lives fighting for it? Especially WWII when the world had to have seemed doomed to be controlled by authoritarian tyrants.

God Bless America!!!!!

We'd all be ******

A lot more innocent people would have been killed, and Europe would be a very interesting place to say the least.

Someone made a movie a ways back that the D-Day landing failed, and the allies pretty much ended up losing, and Britian was taken over by Germany and such. I can't recall the name of it though. Its a bit older.

Germany may have crumbled with endless attacks on itself from the resistance, but the development of the Bomb (which Germany was hopelessly behind in) could have changed the tide
