Just start putting things up in your room that you like. IT doesn't have to be drastic.

As long as you don't go extreme by painting your walls black or something I don't see a problem. If you did want something out of the ordinary which requires removing or adding a wall I think you might want to involve you parents.

well then decorate your room the way you want it to be. that can be your space, no one can touch it. if all else fails, then move out on your own
