My dog needed to take pills a while back. We put the pills in Peanut Butter, and she took them with no problem. You can also try shoving the pill in a small piece of cheese.

Some dogs are smart and won't eat those, so if this happens, you may have to hold your dog's mouth closed and hold their head up until they swallow the medication.

Hope that helped!

Take some cheese or can dog food and put the pill in it and he should take it right down, Just a tiny bit of food to cover the pill and then hold it by his mouth.Make sure he doesn't spit it out. If he does do it again.

I just cut a hot dog up into a couple of pieces. I stick the pill in one of them and start dropping the pieces on the floor for my dog. I don't drop the piece with the pill in it until he's had 2 or 3 pieces. At that point, he's just gulping them down and doesn't even realize he's taken his pill.

take a spoon and get a spoon ful of peanut butter then stick the pill in it and hold the clean end of the spoon and let the dog lick the peanut butter off the edn and the pill will go with it

Wrap the pill in something - something that he likes, but I'd recommend to be something that could be swallowed, and doesn't need to be chewed. Perhaps peanut butter would work. Then put it in his mouth. If he doesn't swallow it right away, then you need to rub his throat, which brings forth the reflex to swallow. You might need to try it a couple of times until it works, but it will.

if he is not taking the pills be means of the other answers (tricking him by putting it in the food) seriously, stick it down his throat. I know this sounds harsh, but it works very well for my dog (he finds the pill in the food and spits it out) then hold his mouth shut while rubbing his throat. They swallow it in no time!

Its NOT cruel. I learned this from our VET.

mix it in his food, you can feed him by hand put a bit on your hand and let him eat the food, let become a habit but don't let him get full fast and then mix the antibiotic with the food on your hand and let him chow that thing down, that or mix it in his food but make sure he eats it with the food or else the whole thing is messed up, if the pup is used to being feed treats make it think its a doggy treat that should do the trick

Peanut butter, cheese, bread, pretty much anything that your dog likes that you can shove the pill in. Hope he feels better :)

put butter on it, then put it far enough back on his toungue that he will swallow it to get it off there. Dogs dont seem to like that feeling at all. Just watch to make sure he does get it down, and doesnt spit ot out, or get it stuck.
