So I was a bartender for many years. It didn't bother me if someone didn't leave a tip for buying one beer and walking away. However, if that person stayed all night at the bar and I served many beers, I would hope that sooner or later, I at least earned a dollar for my services. Most times people leave their change behind 50 cents, 75 cents, whatever it may be. Other people do tip a bartender really well. Especially if you are drinking mixers, you will get a higher quality drink the next time around if you tip the first time! Experience!

At least a dollar a drink. It takes just as long to pour a cheap beer as any other. Mixed drinks take more. Especially if the bar is crowded, think about the next drink that you will want. You want the bartender to pay attention to you later.

If you tip a quarter you're probably going to be waiting a long time for your next .90 beer. Tip at least a buck per beer...$1.90 is still cheap!

a dollar is what i would give. But if it is a SHE, and the SHE is hot, I'd give ten bucks.
