I'm am always wondering the exact same thing, I think it's because the majority of people are plain and simple moron's and it tends to get on the nerves of everyone that does have some intelligence.

I understand what Alea is going through but I have to agree with Michelle. All you are doing is getting yourself stressed out and if you are in such a state bad things can happen, especially in traffic. I speak from experience. Once, being really upset by getting cut off by a truck and having to slam on my brakes so hard that my car came to a stop, I thanked my lucky star for that truck driver who ended up in the car that had an accident a bit further on around a curve and not me. The truck driver and the driver of the car were not badly hurt, but if I had slammed into that car, being in a hurry and driving fast, I probably would have not been so lucky.
Since that time I drive more relaxed, don't mind line-ups that much any more (who knows, you might just miss that accident by being a few seconds late) and feel sorry for the person that has a hundred kids to make happy at a drive-in while I use that time to read, reflect, listen to the news....etc.
Hope you feel better!

It occurs to me that what could be causing your problem is your sense of entitlement. It seems that you might think that you have more of a right to be there in the traffic or the grocery store than they do.
It's entirely possible that you're extra-frustrated by people's behavior because you're feeling rushed, stressed, or otherwise anxious. Maybe just relaxing a bit would help you to not be so bugged by the things that are happening around you, and your life would go smoother.
After all, if you don't make the light, it doesn't necessarily mean that you get to your destination any sooner than the people who make the light. (Try keeping track sometime; take note of which cars are around you and see if you don't end up in all the same places they do, whether they make the light or not. I often just come up right behind them again at the next light.) And even if you do get there a few minutes later than you hoped, it's often not the end of the world. After all, who cares if you get to the doctor's office late; you just have to sit around when you get there. It's safer to be calm and less distracted.
I don't intend to offend you with this answer, believe me. I'm trying to be gentle. I really do hope that you can have an easier and less stressful life.

I am not trying to be rude, but that is the most self centered question I have ever heard. It is a fact of life to have to wait in lines or at stop lights. Unless you are a surgeon and you don't arrive at the hospital in the next five minutes and some one will die as a result, where do really need to go that is that important that you can't be bothered to wait while in the drive thru? Maybe the problem isn't that people are in your way. Maybe the real problem is that you lack patience.

Don't worry about it too much. I say this because life works in cycles, maybe something in your life is going negitivly and you are seeing it in these every day occurances. It used to be like this for me too but lately I'm just in time. It used to be I'd want one simple thing for 2.00 from a shop that just required ringing through but befor I got there there would be a group of 5 people with as you say special orders. I used to be so annoyed but when I changed my way of thinking I seemed to get there before these groups and just make it to the bus stop right on time. Luck changes dont you worry:)

I totally understand where your coming from.
Today on the way to work.. i had twenty mins up my sleeve..
Thought it would be great to get into work early.
Instead a large truck cut me off.. i slammed on the brakes and couldn't get out.
So after getting a little Angry.. i thought to myself..
I wonder if this has slowed me down enough to maybe save a rear end-er further up the street.
Or some other accident.
Which let me drift back and just relax following him up the freeway.
Sometimes we are held up for other reasons..
Its taking that breath and knowing when to take control or to let it go.
Blessings ALD

Were you on Dr. Phil a little while ago???
He had a lady just like you on there. She even went so far as to throw her shoe at someone who was blocking the aisle at the grocery store.
Sounds like you need to slow down. You need to realize that everyone has somewhere to go and a place to be. And just like you don't care about them, they don't care if your in a hurry.

If you have a credit or debit card do most of your shopping on the internet. This will save you a lot of frustration. My husband and I are planning on trying for another baby early next year and I plan on doing my grocery shopping online with Safeway so I can avoid having to take both kids and I can have it delivered.

These kinds of thinks happen for a reason...to put you to the test! Try keep ya cool and not let it bother you...Theres no rush, lifes too short...maybe get yourself enough confidence to confront these rude and arrogant self-centred people..??
If that was too deep for you, than maybe try beeping your horn or yelling abuse...that could always help??...But may not do you any favours or get them out of your way...
Cheers :)

Breathe in-out in-out. You are letting people get in your way. All you need to do is to view the world in a different way. I suggest rose colored glasses.
