He may be ready, he may not. If you go to http://www.babycenter.com they have a checklist of potty training readiness signs. My sons weren't ready till they were three, but every child is different. I would think that it's just fun for him to be naked. My 21 month old is doing the same thing with clothes he can get off. Luckily he hasn't figured out anything but elastic yet lol. I used to deter my 2nd son (now 4) from doing this by putting him in those feety pajamas that had the zipper up then the snap over. For some reason he never seemed to want to mess with the two step system to get the clothes off. Maybe he just liked the pajamas. I would just try dressing him in clothes you think he won't be able to get out of by himself. We went through quite a few different things. Pants with sew on buttons are really hard for them to get off unless there is elastic on the back. We used alot of khaki and navy dress or school pants during this time as well, if they had the button. No one likes to walk into the living room to see their newly naked son staring in fascination at a stream of urine landing on the carpet in front of him. For both of our sons this period lasted about a month. We were constantly dressing and redressing them, and then they figured out it just wasn't worth it. Our daughter did it earlier, and for only about 2 weeks, until she figured out how to get the new clothes on, something our sons weren't that interested in lol. A previous poster suggested duct tape, and I have to admit that when you're cleaning up pee for the hundred thousandth time it does seem like a viable option, but unfortunately the sticky stuff can pull out skin and hair and leave a residue, so no good really. :-) Good Luck

It could be that he's getting sweaty and itchy in the diaper and simply wishes it off. Or, he might be equipped to potty teach - chiefly if he suggests interest while you or different individuals go to the toilet. Kids are not ever too younger to take a look at to potty coach, if it would not work you could at all times swap back to diapers. I've a 4 12 months historical and a 2 yr ancient, each boys. My oldest was once handy to potty educate, just threw some Cheerios in the bathroom, acquired him a stool, and let him aim away. He was once making use of the grown up toilet in about a week, with no night time accidents. My 2 12 months historic is a bit of of a task, he wants no part of potty training and no part of carrying a diaper. Excellent luck to you!

I agree with the others, it's just a normal thing toddlers do. My daughter's done that since she was around 18 months and she's 2 now. She was more interested in taking her diaper off when she didn't have clothes on (like in the summer when it was hot I'd put her to bed in just a diaper) and she'd wake up in a soaked bed every morning. I learned that if you put a onesie that snaps between the legs they are more likely to leave it alone b/c they have a harder time getting those off. I'd say try the pajamas on backwards too I never tried that before but for that to work it would have to be the footed pajamas but I don't know if the feet would be very comfortable then. Try the onsie even under the pajamas being that it's a little chilly to wear just a onesie to bed. Don't feel bad in the mean time lots of us are going through the same thing with our toddlers. Mine's did a number 2 in her crib 2 or 3 times like that and it wasn't a pretty picture.

i am not sure there is much that you can do! my son is 27 months old, and he went through a "naked" phase. lucky for me, he didn't do it at night. you can try putting him in a onesie, although he might be able to undo the snaps himself, or putting on a sleeper backwards (just watch the neckline in the front). aside from that, i think you just have to wait it out! he will get over it pretty quickly. i doubt he enjoys waking up in a wet bed! also, as far as the potty - my son showed the same interest in the potty as yours, just until a week ago. then all of a sudden one morning i had to pee, so he said he did too... he sat on his potty, and sure enough, he peed! then that night my husband and i were watching tv with him. he disappeared and came back 5 mins later, with no pants or diaper, and told us he pooped. he had gone in the bathroom all by himself, with the lights off, and he did his business all by himself. he even got TP and wiped his butt! we were amazed. he has pooped in the potty 5 times since then, all without us asking him too. and i talked about the potty with him before, but never pushed it at all. perhaps your son too will soon decide he is ready!
hope it all works out. oh, and for the wet bed - you could also get a few large changing mats or the like, with an absorbant top and waterproof bottom (it may be hard to find large ones). just put it over the sheets, and that way, in the middle of the night you would just have to take it off and put a new one down. good luck waiting it out!!

It might be that he is getting sweaty and itchy within the diaper and simply desires it off. Or, he might be capable to potty coach - specifically if he indicates curiosity whilst you or different humans pass to the toilet. Kids are not ever too younger to take a look at to potty coach, if it does not paintings you'll regularly transfer again to diapers. I have a four 12 months ancient and a two 12 months ancient, each boys. My oldest used to be effortless to potty coach, simply threw a few Cheerios in the bathroom, bought him a stool, and allow him goal away. He used to be utilising the grown up rest room in approximately per week, with out a night time injuries. My two 12 months ancient is a little of a mission, he desires no facet of potty coaching and no facet of dressed in a diaper. Good good fortune to you!

Wow only at night I feel for you..My daughter will be 3 in June and as soon as we walk in the door she is naked...lucky for me she is trying the potty thing just a few tips on potty training when he is ready...For my son I used to put fruit loops in the toilet and also liquid dish soap at different times and I would tell him to aim and sink the fruit loops and with the soap I would tell him to make bubbles and for me that worked well because when we were in a public place he would say mommy I have to make bubbles and no one would know what he meant... Good luck

The same thing happened to me...I ended up putting on his PJ's backwards so he couldn't get out of them. After being up with a wet baby and having to change his sheets...again, I had had enough. Worked great! By the way...he's very normal and since he has no control over his life, he's figured out a way to control you...he strips, and it gets your attention and makes you jump. I swear, some 2 year olds are smarter than some 32 year olds! Good Luck!

It is a normal phase I think most toddlers go through. ONce they learn to take their diapers off themselves I believe they are ready to start potty training. Maybe you could start putting on pullups instead of diapers. Those are a little bit harder to get off. :) Good luck

that probably means he is ready to be potty trained, so you should try more to get him interested in the potty, also make sure he doesn't have anything to drink an hour and a half before bedtime so when he take off his cloths he will still be dry in the morning. also rush him to the potty first thing in the morning he might not resist it that much then.

You didn't mention it, but is he wearing a diaper vest under his sleeper or pajamas? I find sometimes they work as a deterrent because there are so many snaps that they just can't get them off all the way and the diaper ends up staying on..
