IT NEVER HOPELESS, IT JUST MAY TAKE SOME TIME TO
GET TOGETHER BUT IF BOTH OF YOU WANT TO GET
TO GET WITH EACH OTHER THEN IT CAN WORK OUT,
YOU JUST NEED TO FIGURE OUT IF IT WHAT YOU ARE
REALLY LOOKING FOR , THEN YOU WILL KNOW IF IT
WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN.

5000 miles is way far.. but it could work, it all depends on the people.
I also met a guy online that lived far away and we hit it off great... still keep in touch til this day, although the relationship thing becomes a question because distance is the one factor that's keeping us from taking it to the next level. long distance relationships can be tough but they DO exist... it's up to you.... ya never know...

5,000 miles is a long way. I was long-distance with my husband for almost 4 years before we were together, but we were only 350 miles apart and we saw each other every 3-4 weeks or so. I could have never been able to afford (at that stage in my life) to fly back and forth very often, but I don't know your situation.
I wouldn't say it's hopeless, but it won't be easy! Don't give up until you don't think it's worth it anymore!

I've been dating my boyfriend now for almost 6 months and I met him on a phone chat! He lives about an hour away and I never thought it would work out! At first I was skeptical, about the whole thing! But then I realized that you can find love anywhere! I say go for it! If it doesn't work out, least you can say you tried! Good Luck!

5000 miles... Is a great Pen Pal....
I recommend if you have never met Face to Face to keep it on a Friends Level... Always... Til you can meet face to face in a public setting... If this isn't possible you know the answer...
Good Luck and Happy Hunting...

Long distance relationships seldom work out. It's not to say that yours won't, but it's hard to keep that connection going without any physical contact. Maybe you guys could plan a vacation together and see how it goes. Just know it'll be tough to maintain but if you work at it who knows.

I don't think long-distance friends are a waste of time. What difference does it make it he lives five or five thousand miles away. He is still your friend.

Sounds like you need to make a big decision. I guess it all depends on how serious you two are about each other and if either of you are prepared to make the big move! Good luck to you!
