A kidney stone (calculus) is indeed a stone but you can prevent this by adding acidic fruit and vegetable juices to your diet. Cranberry juice is often suggested, but any acidic liquid will acidify your urine and reduce (but not eliminate) the chance of renal calculi. Your physician might also have some urine acidifiers that do not conflict with your medication. It is always to ask his advice before taking any OTC drug. If he has not imposed any dietary restrictions, then the juice will be fine. I am a physician.

Drink lots of filtered water every half an hour. Add fresh lemon juice (a quarter of a freshly cut lemon, not store bought lemon juice). Drink the liquid four or five times. Drinking lots of water everyday is one of the best ways to make sure there are no crystals building up in your kidneys. Aim to drink at least half your weight in ounces of water. Kidney stone removal is generally accomplished without any medical help. Most of the time, a person with kidney stones drinks gallons of water and suffers unspeakable pain until the kidney stone travels out of their body on its own

I know of a man who was diagnosed a kidney stone of 7mm size.
His doctor said he should go through surgery because the stone was too big to be passed.
This man decided to research by himself for a natural remedy, and he found an old man who gave him a 3 step natural formula, with 100% natural ingredients you can find at your local grocery.
In less than 12 hours the kidney stone was powderized and got out of his system forever.

I am sure this natural remedy will solve your problem.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!
This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.
It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

Miserable...........my GP advised against Topamax (for me) for just that reason, family history of severe kidney stone attacks. She also said Topamax is very bad for your eyes. I started on Epival instead. Cut back on meats, eat fresh fruit, and drink LOTS of water. Perform weight bearing exercises as well.

Hi Maria
You need to do a colon cleanse for your migraines. When you dont have regular bowel movements the toxins in the colon get in the blood and this is what causes illness and most diseases. Your head is not getting enough circulation of new blood and this causes your body stress and this is the main cause of the migraines (amongst other issues).

This is a great plan (kidney cleanse) to take care of your stones issue.
Best of health to you

There are lots of other meds you can try for migraines. (I use Imitrex injections) Kidney stones can be very painful, and cause infections. If they are small, your doc may just let you pass them. (OW!) Sometimes they use an ultrasound to break them up into smaller peices. I had that done, and it wasnt too bad. If they get bad enough, sometimes you need surgery. Ask your doc if there is any other meds that wont give you that side effect. Good Luck!!

Hello there, There are a number of ways you can help prevent kidney stones from forming:
- limit intake of soft drinks and sugary drinks
- increase water intake
- orange juice has been proven to help kidney stones
- Cranberry juice has also been proven to help prevent kidney stones along with other Urinary/ Bladder benefits ( natural only, no sugar)
Some of the points below are reasons you may develop them in the first place.
- if you have a family history of kidney stones, you are more likely to develop them
- Urinary tract infections, kidney disorders such as cystic kidney diseases, and certain metabolic disorders such as hyperparathyroidism are also linked to stone formation.
-Kidney stones are very common in people who do NOT drink enough water and have high intakes of soft drink. They are very painful, as you probably know.
- inherited metabolic disorders are linked
-inhibitor indinavir, a drug used to treat HIV infection, are at risk of developing kidney stones.
- and last but not least, some diuretics are linked to kidney stone formation as there is increase concentration of uric acid.
I hope this has helped.
