If there is a Ross, HomeGoods, or Marshall's store in your area, you're in luck. These are absolutely the best bet for lower prices on area rugs. Ikea is also a good possibility.
Hope you find what you're looking for------the right rug makes all the difference!

I bought my large one at Home Depot and it is good quality rug. You have to order them in usually but it saves big bucks. Sometimes Ikea has some cheap rugs and just before Christmas most flooring places have sales on their area rugs. If you don't have the time phone around to get feel for the prices.

Target has some pretty cheap area rugs that are nice quality. That's where my family gets ours. Also K-Mart has some and you could probably find them at Wal-Mart!

A great idea for getting a cheap area rug is going to a carpet store and have them cut one the exact size that you want from a large roll. A friend of mine let me into this secret. She did it throughout her house.

I got mine back in the summer at Lowe's. I paid less than $100 for it. And they had a wide selection to choose from, some cheaper, some not.
