I don't have my Bible with me at work today due to working on some children's stuff, but I will give you my opinion as a Mormon. Neither group is literally "cursed" - it is more of what it looks like through the eyes of humans. But they have both had a harder than usual time throughout history. It is my opinion that since before the history of mankind, the Jews were very carefully prepared for centuries to help Jesus Christ bring about the Atonement. They had two sets of prophecies coming through their prophets. One set said that the Messiah would be a great leader who would usher in peace. The other set said that the Jews would kill the Messiah. They did not like the second set, so they kept taking them out of the records. By the time Jesus Christ was on the earth, about 2000 years of thinking a certain way helped a very small group of leaders come to the conclusion Jesus Christ could not possibly be the Messiah, and so they tried Him illegally and handed him over to the Romans with false accusations. The Atonement of Jesus Christ was the most important event in all of history, but subsequent groups of people have misunderstood it to the point where they thought the Jews as a people had killed the Son of God on purpose, rather than seeing it as their special assignment. It is my opinion that if the Jews realized exactly what had happened, the psychological pain would be too difficult for many of them to work through. It is my opinion that the Holocaust was a way that Satan, who opposes everything Christ stands for, tried to get his revenge on the covenant people for their part in helping Jesus Christ plan and effect His Atonement. People under the influence of Satan's followers also have persecuted the Jewish people, without realizing that what they should be doing is thanking them for recording and preserving for so long the records which talked about the prophets who foretold of Jesus Christ, prophets like Isaiah, for example.
I just answered another question about blacks. I believe that blacks in general also have had a difficult (understatement, I know) time throughout history, and I think they have an interesting assignment in life as well. I suspect part of their assignment is to remind others to be kind to everyone. I've been reading up on a few famous black pioneers in the state of Utah like Green Flake and Jane Manning James. I think that the more the blacks in all countries come to recognize and commit to the laws of God, the more they will prosper - especially the law of chastity. Many of them have great faith that I hope to emulate as well. Have a happy day, and if you ever want to learn more about Mormon black pioneers, I can send you a booklet about it. There is also a musical about Jane Manning James, but I haven't been able to obtain a copy of that yet.
P.S. I know a man named Luckner Huggins who wrote a book about blacks in Haiti and other spiritual concepts such as how voodoo is stopping spiritual progress in the world. You can check out what his book is like if you want at www.sonofham.com

As I am not religious, I cannot provide the biblical answer to your question, but I can say that homosexuals are persecuted too. Women have been as well. Black people have been, as have Jewish people, but many other groups have too. Black people and the Jewish are not the most persecuted and hated necessarily. To say that those two groups are cursed would be the same as saying homosexuals, women, Muslims, Indians and so on, are all cursed as well, as they have all had their fair share of suffering.
Black people have gained their civil rights in the United States, and have overcome slavery within the United States. The Jewish...well they've never had really big issues in the U.S., but over history, they seem to have been very unfortunate. Over history, and still today, women have been persecuted. In several countries they still must follow exactly what a man says or face serious consequences. They also had to work to gain their civil rights, and they have overcome many issues, yet many still exist, such as sexism.
It is hard to limit it to two groups, so I cannot say for sure that black people and the Jewish are the most persecuted, but I will say they are near the top, yet I do not think they are cursed. They have overcome a lot of issues, as have many groups.
But of course, this is all simply my opinion. Your's may differ heavily, and I hold nothing against you for thinking different. Have a nice day. :-)

Curses can be wrought on entire peoples.
The worst curses are drawn from faith or lack of faith.
Civilized people do not believe in curses but do take a moment and read the ten commandments.
The Jews have been cursed by : The god of their fathers, The evils of man. We have seen this most recently During the second world war and now with the flames of the middle east. A sad payment for turning their backs on their messiah.
A strong and good people that must still feel the wrath of their god for one moment in time. And yet they follow their god with the strength and righteousness deserved of him and for him.
A blessed people are the Jews, they have strength.
The Plight of those who seed it within. This is the plight of the African be they black or white. When hope is lost in times of disease, pestilence and war, heart is lost. A beautiful brilliant people without seed of hope. Time has passed for so very long and these people die, their children die. Hope has been so very out of reach that only open hands and a great many years will heal these wonderful people.
People try to help but those who have no hope within their blessed spirits are but pawns on a chessboard. Evil men with biased greed take advantage knowing full well that there is very little heart to fight.
A beautiful people taken by those who would use them as toys in an evil game of wealth building on the backs of the hopeless. This is truly the plight of the African.
There are those that think your question racist, I do not see it as racist. I see it as a plea for knowledge and answer.
En Tis Blethec, Be Blessed child and walk in the heart you so sweetly give.

Well, it does seem that Jews have been persecuted since the time of Jesus. This is the truth.
I know that blacks have been persecuted in our country, but I am truly unaware that it is going on in other countries as well, especially your home country.
For Jews, I really feel bad because they are God's chosen people and the devil won't leave them alone. The more he can get them to divide and turn against him, the better off he is on the other side. I have never personally met a Jew, at least to my knowledge, but have the utmost respect for their position and believe wholeheartedly that they are God's chosen people.
The same goes for blacks in our country. I feel as though no matter what they do, they are persecuted. I know that it's bad even today, and I cannot imagine for one second the kind of hell it was 150 years ago.

No, I don't think that blacks and Jews are cursed. Although it is possible for people to be cursed by God, the curses never seem to last more than a few generations. Also, many times people bring on themselves their own "curse" through their poor choices.
That's not to say that I think that blacks and Jews are bad people. If anything, I think that the discrimination against blacks and Jews will be more condemning to people of other races who participate in the discrimination than the blacks and Jews themselves.
Our world is just really sad right now, but you can never say that bad things happen because people deserve them. Sometimes bad things happen to good people, but that doesn't mean that God doesn't love them. Our Savior Jesus Christ himself was betrayed and killed, but He was the most worthy of all.

Well as the Jews have been worshiping this God you all are fighting over the longest by far it just shows what use faith is.Whats that 3500 years of crap luck ? or a curse as there is no proof of any curse its just 3500 years of crap luck or perhaps a poor choice of religion. The bad luck of Black people only started relatively recently(well compared to the Jews) when white Europeans started with their obsession with empire building and got real bad when said European nations discovered America, cotton and tobacco and then the need for cheap labour hence slavery. As for the problems of modern day Africa and its inhabitants there are many reasons some geographical, many due to poorly planned and/or implemented pull-outs by the European nations which had colonized them. No biblical reason and no curse.

I agree that the latest descendants from Africa ("black" people) have had far more strife than any other group. I believe this is because that the cultures of "civilization" did not spread through the Sahara very effectively. Many contact cultures developed civilizations like the Mali and the Swahili cities on the eastern coasts, but to the large extent, the majority of Sub-Saharan Africa was tribal well into the "Modern Era" (1800s). I do not believe that "God" exists and that if he did he wouldn't punish someone's descendants so poorly. I believe the Jews got a bad rap, because they fled to Christian lands where they were seen as bad, as well as foreigners in a less hospitable time. Every ethnic group including "blacks" is to blame. Arabs started the slave trade in the 1600s, blacks caught and sold other blacks, Europeans bought them and abused them in foreign lands. The Modern Era lead to the studies of anthropology. In anthropology's early days, just like psychology, it was very racist and biased towards white men (the founders and only anthropologists at the time). From that you got the ideas of "justified racism" and "The White Man's Burden." Even though northern Europeans could have been easily as tribal if they did not encounter civilization spreading from Mesopotamia. I don't blame humans as much as I blame geography for screwing the Africans over. Humanity is weak, but is evolving into today's Western mentality.

I am Jewish and from your picture I assume you are black. We have both been persecuted beyond belief. We share the bond of slavery You in the USA and us in Egypt. However, look what has come from that slavery 2 seperate but strong nations. We are both the children of slaves. Slaves who were strong enough to endure and that is a strong mutual pride. We are only cursed if we think so. I don't feel cursed and neither should. The cursed are the ones who hate us for what we stand for God bless

Curses and blessings can run at the same time. Look at the Jews - they cursed themselves for not accepting the Messiah but the promises (blessings) of God for them in other areas are still in tack.
Actually every people group are like this. It's not easy to understand but it's there. My country (Australia) has cursed itself in one area because there is so much immorality but we are blessed in another area because our government doesn't set itself up against Israel.
Those who curse Israel will be cursed. Those who bless Israel will be blessed.
Hope this has helped you somehow.
And the best part is faith in Jesus cancels out curses.

No offense but you sound illogical and silly. If you say blacks and Jews are cursed, then Americans are also cursed because they have this bad president whom everybody hates and this president ultimately represents the people, or maybe Muslims are cursed because their religion has been criticized always, and what about Germans who were blamed for world war one and then they got Hitler who started another world war. So, that concludes almost everybody is cursed.
What I mean is there are people who will be having problems with races and in every culture and religion there is an ongoing struggle which we might not see. Therefore we can always try to be optimistic and minimize problems in world.
