If you are going to wrap it...do it with ice before and after dancing...try stretching the muscles in the calf, and of course like someone said here...get better foot ware...something with a cushion/gel like to help you and something with an arch.
Try using your thumbs and do circular motion from the front of the ankle to all the way up to the knee, try friction that same area, some compression, and of course again...ice it, and better foot ware.
Good luck ^i^

I know how you feel, but I never wrapped them! If you plan on running(that is how I always get mine) get a good pair of running shoes. I use to only wear nike, but now I where asics..not as cute but I don't get shin splints anymore. Make sure that they heel 100% before you workout again.

Try not to walk around for a bit with different shoes and change your workout shoes. Something with a gel on the heel would be great. Just ask a foot locker or whatever sporting shoe store sales rep for help. They know these things like the back of their hands.

You can't do anything about shin splints by strapping.

If your legs are a strange shape you have proper breaks, not hairline fractures, and need to get to the hospital ASAP.

I got mine when I was doing gymnastics in high school. They say that wrapping does not work, but I did find some relief in it. That plus icing it down. Mine wern't bad enough to keep me from doing anything else, but I know they sure hurt.

I never wrapped them, Used mineral Ice or equivalent Biofreeze evein better. Also Stretch by crouching down so far you sit on your own legs.
