A theist or a Deist

Everyone born into this world has seen the true light. That true light is spiritually sensed.

When we get older, we purposely rebel against the True Light. With that comes spiritual blindness. Jesus said that to see the Kingdom of God you must be born again. Spiritually reborn. To pray to the Father God in Spirit & Truth. To be restored to God by the Blood of the Lamb of God (atonement for sins).

Christianity is trusting & obeying Jesus Christ. Christians have confessed Jesus Christ Lord & believed in their heart the Resurrection. It is a realationship to follow Jesus. Not so much religious rules.

As far as just believing there is God, even the forces of darkness believe there is a God. But they don't trust and obey God.

I've heard people refer to this as being agnostic, however, if you look that up it says that you doubt, basically.

If you believe in Christ, than you can call yourself Christian whether or not you go to church or not. If you believe in God, but not Christ, I am not sure. You can find a lot of terms regarding these things at dictionary.com, one term will lead you to another.

I do pray that you will find a religion or church to nurture your faith. I am Catholic, and I am so happy with the fact that people have given their lives to keep Christianity alive, and without religion, we would be completely lost. God sent Jesus for a reason, and a lot of that was to eliminate all the confusion going on. Jesus started the Church for a reason, to pass on the faith. If people only pray and do what they 'feel' is right, then chaos will reign. If you understand religion, and really study it and the bible, you will find that God wants you to be in fellowship with other Christians for His good, your good, and the good of the community.

You do not have to do that to go to Heaven though.

Peace be with you.

P.S. If you are alone on your spiritual journey, it makes it easy for the devil to trick you into thinking that you are rightous and don't need all that religion, or you are too intellegent for all that.

the belief is deism or unitariasm, it is the belief that there is a universal creater but that there isn't a such thing as Jesus.....but how can u believe in God and not follow a church or a religion? im mean u need to have some basis on why u belief God exsists. do u belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and that he is our savior? if not, i want u to know that he died for u and he is always there for u, even if u think u are on ur own. just say lord i know ur real and i want u to come into my life. forgive me for all the bad stuff i've done and make me a better person. thats all u have to do!

Spiritual. You can be very strong spiritually without believing a specific religion. This isn't the same as agnostic. Agnostics believe you can't prove God exists but don't deny that he probably does.

Many people don't follow organized religion but believe in God in their own way. Everybody has their own reasons. Some want to be alone and quiet with God in their own way. Some don't want
to be around people who don't live up to it. Some feel the preacher is insincere and only after their money. Sometimes these beliefs are true. Some follow God as they understand him. Only that person and God Knows.

I call them thoughtful. Doesn't buy any of the off-the-shelf answers that churches push on you. Rather, enjoys the lifelong quest for answers... just between their hearts and minds and God -- unfiltered by the moolahs, poobahs, popes, preachers who want your adoration and a 10% cut of your income.
