My issue: Normal everyday tasks take a lot out of me mentally and physicaly. I just can't motivate enough to do it. I mean like clean the house for example. I can do a super clean once in a while but the everyday upkeep I just can't bring myelf to do.

If a task feels below my ability I can't do it.

I am starting back to school. I already have 109 credits but I have to take a 102 communication class which is WAY below my knowledge and abilities. I can't begin to do the simple tasks the instructor asks. I have tried reading but it so elementry that I feel like it is a waste of my time.

My finances...I can't budget myself to save my life. I used to make enough money that it wasn't a problem but now I make 1/2 of what I used to.

Over all I don't feel like I am living up to my potential but I can't apply myself to do it either.

I am SOOoo frustrated. Any ideas or suggestions?

I would also suggest going to see a professional for the answer to this question, it doesn't sound like adhd though.

check this link for a description of the DSM-IV definition of ADHD.

Good Luck!!!

Remember you are one person with many different priority's here. I went through the same thing. I learned by doing what I could first and not worrying about what I could not do in one day. That is a hard thing to master but once you do it AHHHHHHHH it feels so much better. I made to do lists, like instead of laundry, study and dishes, shopping for food, toilet scrubbing in one day. I prioritized them on a to do list like so:
Monday dishes and toilets relax then study
Tuesday shopping and study, toss a load of laundry in
Wed dishes laundry study etc.
Its more complex I just did not want to write you a book, but I think you get my point. A good friend told me "the dishes will be there tomorrow" it hit me in a good way. Study first. Your gonna be fine.
Budget just worry about paying what you HAVE to not what you want to. These are all just a start. I feel for you. I wish you luck.

Sometimes life just gets a little overwhelming and we get scatterbrained for a time. However, I have kids with ADHD and some of what you experience are symptoms of it...to know for sure, you need to see your doctor and tell him how you feel, what you expect and go through the evaluation necessary for ADHD diagnosis. Best of luck to you.

Sounds like depression, but not a severe case. You may want to see someone for it before it possibly gets worse.
