A pickle is a cucumber that has been cured in a brine of vinegar and pickling spices. Since a cucumber is a vegetable, I would say that a pickle is a vegetable too. You can pickle just about any food product you wish to.

A pickle is a cucumber, which is a vegetable. Everything with seeds is a fruit, everything without seeds is a vegetable.

pickles are made with vegetables, so how could they ever change into a fruit? cucumbers, peppers, onions, carrots, garlic, beets, cauliflower----these are the most commonly pickled vegetables. the only pickle that could be considered a fruit would be olives, because they grow on trees and not in the ground

It has seeds, so technically it's a fruit. Although Congress legislated that a tomato is a veggie. They got that one wrong. If it has seeds, it's a fruit.

i.e. Carrot, beet, brussels sprouts = vegetable. No seeds.

Cucumber, squash, bell pepper, jalapeno = friut. Has seeds.
