If my parents are verbally abusive, can the goverment do anything to get me away from them?
i have a good shrink, but no1 can stop the pain i endure from the verbal abuse from my parents. there has been family-therapy and all that stuff, they plain just dont care. i am 6 years away from going college if i can get a skolarship. i also have two cats i want to take with me everywhere i go and they would b depressed w/o me i would be depressed without them

Record them verbally abusing you and send a copy to Family Services.

Let me ask you a couple of things. First of all, how old are you? About 11 or 12, by the fact that college is 6 years away if you get a scholarship. Are your grades that good? Perhaps you may like to go to boarding school now if you feel you can get a scholarship later on. Take it from me; living with the state may not be all that it is cracked up to be either! When you say your parents just plain don't care, what does that mean? Furthermore, where would you go? Is there a kind relative that could take you in now? Also, not to belittle your situation, but, are you sure life at home is that bad? Also, can you give the government documentation of the incidences of verbal abuse and the family counseling? I wish you luck.

What does your shrink say? Define verbal abuse. I to was accused of verbal abuse pick up your clothes clean your room.I think you need to think that you may be at the best place you can be how do you think your cats would like it if you moved and they got ate by the neighbors bull dog? where do you have that you can go and take your cats too? If you have family members why aren't they stepping in? or children family services . You need to think this out a bit more or if they are hurting you so bad talk to a preacher or teacher. honey sometimes we just don't really know how good we have it.So be sure you know this is all bad and you don't put more trouble there then what is needed because sometimes things aren't as bad as they seem.

There is help lines i would love to help if you live where i do in australia i would take u in as a boarder.My life was bad as a teenager as a result i missed out on a career. So i want u to succeed.

Your shrink should be able to tell you if the verbal abuse is bad enought to warrant removal. Sometimes it is...sometimes its just a sooky kid.
