She could be going into labor. Dogs are pregnant for roughly 63 days give or take a few days either way. Watch her and check for discharge or leaking water. Give her some place comfortable, safe, and warm to be in and monitor her as this goes on. Call a vet to consult over the phone if you feela problem has risen. Good luck!

"Puppies will be born, more or less, 63 days after mating. You should use a dog whelping box for delivery, placing it in a quiet place of the house, where the female dog can deliver her litter without disturbances.
How does dog delivery occur? In the first phase, the female will be uneasy, and can start panting and shaking, and nobody will calm her. This can last more than a day, but normally, abdominal contractions announcing the second phase will appear in the next 12 hours.
It's not necessary to stay with her all the time during this first period. An hour after the start of the second phase, the first puppy will be delivered, with the head forward, and still covered by the allantoids, containing the fluid that protected him while in the uterus. After delivering the first of them, the dog will break the cover, and will lick vigorously the puppy to help him to start breathing. After a quarter of an hour, the placenta that nurtured the puppy will be expelled, completing the third phase of delivery. Count the number of placentas to be sure is the same as the number of born puppies. By general rule, female dogs eat placentas, which is a normal conduct. Normally, the mother will bite the umbilical cordon if the puppy retains his connection with the placenta. Puppies are born each half hour, one after another, but this time can prolonged to twice that much, but you don't have to worry about it, as long as you see the female dog calm. Time depends, naturally, of the number of born puppies. Dwarf breeds can have from one to six puppies, while bigger ones can have litters of about fourteen puppies. In many cases, this process should end six hours after the appearance of the first one, but with major litters, the female can take some rest and prolong the process."

Sorry for all the question but not alot of information you have provided us with,,, But a female dog is pregnant for 56 to 63 days give or take if that is what you want to know,,, and if she is pregnant and you know this for sure then when its getting close to having them,,, she will not eat for at least 24 hours, she will want to start to make a nest out of blankets, if she is an inside dog then you will want to find her a box a kiddie pool works very well for a welping box they come in differant sizes, keep her in a dim warm and quite room so she doesnt get nervious and stressed out, she will start to have contractions thats when her belly will get hard and you will be able to see and feel this if you put your hand on her belly, when a female goes into labor then it can last as long as 12 hours it will depend on how many puppies she is having,,, one more thing you will want to get bottles and goats milk cause you never know if something is going to happen to where momma cant feed them her self,,, I hope this has helped and good luck with the new puppies if she is pregnant,,, they are such a joy

No that's no longer genuine! A coach canines can't be recent in a shelter whether you acquire an remarkable canines that conformed to the breed standards that's no longer likely which you will have the Pedigree so subsequently does not have the skill to coach it. additionally maximum shelters Neuter the canines and in straightforward terms breed-able canines are meant to be shown. you should be fortunate and hit upon a working, obedience opposition or agility champion in a shelter yet that's right down to tricky artwork and education and having the flexibility to understand the instincts necessary. If all somebody needs is a puppy then a puppy or youthful canines from a shelter is the extra suitable selection. maximum puppy vendors know so little related to the breeds they decide for and many times that's the look and length of a canines extremely than the breed characteristics that settle on whether any canines is appropriate. people who know what they decide for from a canines tend to bypass to reproduce rescues extremely than popular shelters besides, and maximum breed rescues have a no kill coverage. shelter canines are not consistently the terrific place for green vendors. Older canines tend to have issues that the time-honored canines proprietor isn't arranged for, those canines are oftentimes people who're 'back' for a 2d or 0.33 time. that's especially the BYB's and domestic dog turbines that sell privately or via puppy shops which skill a shelter canines will die!

You need to fix a place for her to have her pups. A cardboard box, a dog crate, etc. For our small Chihuahuas we use under the bed plastic storage bins. The moms can easily get in and out, but the pups can't. Lots of breeders with large dogs use small kid's swimming pools, the kind with the hard plastic. Have blankets, old towels, newspapers ready because there is going to be a big mess. When she is ready to have her pups, she will start digging like ceazy in her bed. Breathing hard is another one of the signs, she may whine and be very restless. If you trust yourself to take her temp, when it falls below 99, she should have pups within the next 12-24 hrs. Hope everything goes well.

The gestation period for dogs is between 63-65 days. If you think she is acting funny she could be close. Prepare a quiet, warm place for her to give birth. If this is her first litter you may want to stand by to comfort her and help if needed.
After the pups are about 8 weeks old you can start to place them in new homes. The next important step is to have her spayed.

I raise Boston Terriers and they have always given birth 59 to 63 days after being mated. I will be having Christmas puppies this year. If you don't have the money to get your dog, cat fixed call the animal control and ask about a group that helps with the cost of fixing them. We have one here and if you don't have any money they do it free. I have 6 dogs and 3 are fixed because I didn't want any puppies from them, my other 3 are Boston Terriers. Please get your animals fixed there are hundreds of dogs everyday that have to die because they are unwanted.

Call your vet, he should be able to determine if she is in labor, and after she delivers the pups, you should get her spayed, you are obviously not a professional breeder (they would know the answer to your question way before they even thought of breeding, and professionals are the ONLY ones who should be breeding), so getting her spayed will be the best for her, and all the unwanted dogs out there who need homes already, we don't need more unwanted dogs to be killed needlessly.
