Yeah, explain God, I dare you.
That's the reason Jesus was here. He was kind of like God's Yahoo avatar. I can't see you personally, but I can read your posts and see that picture near your nickname.
Yes, Christians. I know I'm going to hell for that comparison, but I think it makes a point. Best wishes.

Jesus was God but not his mortal body. His body was a mortal body but his spirit was divine. So looking at the face of Jesus is looking at the face of the body God resided in. Why do you try to disprove the divinity of Jesus? I John 4:2-3"This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world." Turn to Jesus so that you can find salvation.

Jesus was not mortal. He is both 100% divine and 100% human. This is called a mystery of the faith. As mortal humans, it is very hard to grasp this concept. Also, God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all make up the one God. This is another mystery--three persons in one God. Anything is possible with God. And, by the way, Moses saw the face of God and lived, he was aged and the people didn't recognize him, but he lived.

Colossians 1:15-20 ---"He is the image of the invisible God." All the FULLNESS of God dwells in him.He is before all things.
Philippians 2:5-11 ---"He did not consider equality with God something to hold on to.....He made himself nothing."
Jesus is God, but he humble himself. He set aside his glorious attributes so that he could come here. His glory, his magnificense was hidden from us. So while Jesus is God, we did not see all of his glory, his spiritual face, the thing that no human can look upon and live, because we couldn't handle it in our lowly states.

Think of it this way: Jesus, God, Holy Ghost are three roles for the same being.
For example, I have three roles. I am Scott the son, Scott the brother, and Scott the teacher. Now Scott the teacher can't be yelled at, but Scott the son can. God cant be looked upon, but Jesus can. Jesus's role was to die for humanity.

I have a little problem in believing that Jesus and God were one and the same. I know the Bible says that but while Jesus was on the cross and dying, he said "My God, why hath Thou forsaken Me"? Then He said He would take His place "beside" God in heaven.
Could be a little lost in translation. Some beliefs have to be wrapped in "faith" to understand them. Good luck. Pops

O.K. for one thing answer this question.. Where does it say that you will not be able to look upon the face of God without dying? And also Jesus and God are not the same. God is the Father and Jesus is his son. Sent to Earth to save us. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son." And your right Jesus may not be as devine as God. But he did die for our sins right?

Jehovah is God the Almighty and Jesus is his Son whom he created eons ago as the beginning of all creation, Jesus had a prehuman existence before coming to earth to be born as a perfect human. Jesus in heaven is also known as Michael the Archangel. Jehovah transferred the life of his Son Michael into the womb of Mary using his Holy Spirit or power so Michael could be born as a perfect human whose name would then be known as Jesus who would become the Christ or anointed of God the Messiah, sent to redeem fallen manknid through the ransom sacrifice he gave.
