I am a Christian since birth. I have been taught that for someone to truly choose to be a Christian and sincerely mean it, they must first go through some period of doubt/trial and that this is normal. However, I seem to be rapidly progressing downward in a cycle that I can't seem to break out of. I am a freshman in college, and even though I ask God every day to help me, I have no will power and I feel sick and I'm starting to hate myself. I have gone from being a very nice girl to almost having sex with my bf, masturbating & watching porn DAILY, and now Ive recently begun to notice that girls are attractive to me too. I know I'm being very emotional and that this will probably attract jokes, etc., but I'm totally serious and I need help.

I have heard my Pastor say on more than one occasion that at one time or another someone who is genuinely saved may very well go through a period or periods of doubting their salvation.
This may be what you are experiencing.
I have been through this once since I was saved and it was pure torture. I didn't regress to any of my former ways during this period of time but I prayed a LOT and really stayed in my Bible. It was a source of comfort at a time when I needed it the most.
Just remember that spiritual warfare is a very real thing and that Satan is the father of lies.
When you find yourself doubting or wanting to slip into something that you know deep down you shouldn't do or something that goes totally against His Word, pray and ask the Lord to give you strength. I promise you He will.
Also, if you're not involved in a good solid Bible based Church, find one and start going.
We also draw strength from fellow Christians. Surround yourself with those kinds of people; talk to them and ask them to pray for you.

I've done the whole getting "saved" deal before. And just like you it felt hollow. So I don't pretend to be a christian. That would be hypocritical. You should talk to a Priest or some other christian adult that you know. It seems like I'd have to have some kind of tragic accident or death to occur, to actually feel connected with him. I would stay away from the porn. Masturbation too if you can help it. Sex with your boyfriend would probaly be the better way to go to relieve your sexual frustration. Although its "forbidden" before marriage, if you love your boyfriend I think god will understand. Anyways you don't have to have vaginal sex. Theres always oral. I hope you sort this out. Peace.;)

You can be Christian and still have sex, masturbate, and watch porn. It sounds like you've probably built up a sex drive and you should address that, not your religious beliefs. On a serious note I would keep masturbating.. just make sure you finish otherwise you'll never feel relieved. I think it's completely normal what you're going through and the only thing wrong in what you've written is that you're starting to hate yourself. There's no reason for that... your hormones are starting to get a little out of control and you just need to understand that and then get a grip on it. Also, as a guy, I don't blame you for being attracted to the ladies, they're much more attractive than guys :)
Good luck and no worries

I have never heard of first having to go thru a period of trial to be a Christian. Being Christian means you realize you have sinned, and that you need forgiveness for your sins. You are not born a Christian. It is a choice--either accept Jesus as your Savior, or don't. Have you done that? Asked for Him to take away your sins? I hope you will find a campus Christian youth group so you can get to know other Christians and what it's all about. As for the porn and stuff, that deals with the "other" force in your life: evil, which comes from Satan. He makes sin look lovely at first but then it gets uglier and uglier! Please get an easy-to-read Bible and find Christians friends. Hope to see you "there" one day!!!

The Bible publicizes (with the aid of parables) that the tip of this worldwide starts on could 21 2011. the commencing up of that end will commence with an earth quake the likes of which this earth has on no account considered in the previous. Then there will be 5 months of torment bringing down all of the judgment spoken approximately in Deuteronomy. ultimately on October 21 2011 the full universe would be burned and then a sparkling heaven and a sparkling earth would be born. it relatively is all interior the Bible and you may study it for your self. you may learn the way the Bible publicizes "we are able to comprehend" on the web content under. Amos 3:7 certainly our lord god will do no longer something, yet he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

first of all (this is not meant to tear you down at all), but no one is a christian at birth. it is a decision that you must make for yourself when you see you have a need for Christ in your life. so i'm wondering if you ever truly made that decision on your own and have asked Christ into your life recognizing that you can not live this life on your own but that you need a Savior. from what you seem to be experiencing you may want to get plugged into a bible believing church that you may grow and join a accountability group. many colleges have christian based bible studies, that would be wise too. reaching out to God and recognizing you have opened doors into things that are ungodly and need Him to rescue you now, you won't be able to do it on your own. it would be good to ask those who are believers to keep you in prayer. I know God can give you the strength to stop all of this. God does not hate you and He does not want you to hate yourself either. you are His creation. and please remember, you are His princess. you are worth so much more that these degrading acts. You are loved.

Learn to meditate. You will then have the ability to see your thoughts and actions in some sort of real context.
Don't hate yourself. You have more potential then you can ever imagine. You just need to focus on clarifying your mind and this is done through moral action (you need to look up what this really means. Try a Buddhist site and not a Christian site.) and meditation. The two work together.

You have invited a demon or two (maybe lots more) into your home and you seriously need to pay attention to what you are doing here. We are NEVER alone. There are constantly angels and demons with us and by our actions/words we will attract more of one than the other. Our minds and hearts are like a dirty glass of water. If we continue to put good things in them, eventually, the water in the glass will be clean. If we put mud (bad things) in them, eventually all the water will be gone. Pornography is a very effective Satanic tool--stay completely away from it. Tell Satan to get behind you and refuse to be his pawn. He wants death for you and God wants life. Which will you choose???

Don't feel guilty, I am sure you are nice person. Why dont' you talk to a counselor if you can afford it? Everybody experiences lust, that's one that God doesn't help with.
