Wouldn't the Creator be more powerful than the created?
Jehovah God is the Creator of all things.
Jesus Christ was Jehovah's first creation. That would make Jehovah God more powerful. In actual fact Jehovah God is Almighty.(Ps.83:18)

Jehovah.
Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe!
Jehovah's Witnesses love and respect and honor Christ. However, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.
(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation
(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.
(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God
(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God
(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth
(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak
(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am
(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him
(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father
(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God
(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.
(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah
(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him
Thanks again for an opportunity to share what the bible actually says about the distinct persons of Jesus Christ the Son and Jehovah God the Father!

Ask a person who believes in the Trinity. As evidence, they will show you a scripture in the old testament that refers to The Word as a Mighty God.
Look up the meaning of the word "mighty god" in any language. It means someone who receives its power and is created by an Almighty God. If the Word was the same as his father, than wouldn't he be an Almighty God, not a lower form mighty god?

Who do you consider Jehovah?
JW's think Jehovah is the one true mighty god; and can only be addressed as ... Jehovah. They also deny the diety of Christ.
Hebrew language when the OT was written didn't have vowels. God's 'name': YHWH
Afraid of taking God's name in vain, Jewish people quit saying His name altogether. When reading they substituted the tetragrammaton (the consonants) with the word Adonai (Lord)
No one is exactly sure of the correct pronuciation although "Jehovah" is dated around the 16-century Latin translation ( Hebrew does not have a "J" sound).
YaHWeH is considered a more correct pronuciation;
the constanants of YHWH and the vowels of Andoni.
As for your q' re historic Christianity: there is ONE God who exists eternally as three distinct persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; One what, 3 whos.
Each of the persons of the Godhead is distinct, yet they are all each, by nature, God. The persons of the Godhead are equally God, yet have different roles. Though hard to grasp the Trinity violate no laws of logic or contradiction.
EDIT: Being able to correctly interpret Scripture is VERY important.

Therefore, the doctrine of the Trinity is arrived at by looking at the whole of scripture, not in a single verse. It is the doctrine that there is only one God, not three, and that the one God exists in three persons: Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. An analogy would be time. Time is past, present, and future. But, there are not three times, only one.
----------------------------------------------------------------
" the first born of all creation" ...
The Jehovah's Witnesses and Col. 1:15
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exists." (Col. 1:15-17, for context. The New World Translation - Emphasis added. Note the NWT’s addition of “other” into the text four times. This is discussed here.)
The Jehovah's Witnesses interpret the word "firstborn" here to mean "first created" because it is consistent with their theological presupposition that Jesus is a created thing. Of course, Jesus, the word become flesh (John 1:1,14) is not a created thing. But that hasn't stopped the Watchtower organization from claiming He is. Nevertheless, there is a Greek word for "first created" and it was in use at the time of Paul's writing to the Colossians. He did not use it here. The Greek for "firstborn" is proto with tikto which would give us "firstborn" and that is what we find here in Colossians 1:15. The Greek for "first created" would be proto with ktizo and it is not used here.
Second, the biblical use of the word "firstborn" is most interesting. It can mean the first born child in a family (Luke 2:7), but it can also mean "pre-eminence." In Psalm 89:20, 27 it says, "I have found David My servant; with My holy oil I have anointed him...I also shall make him My first-born" (NASB). As you can see, David, who was the last one born in his family was called the firstborn by God. This is a title of preeminence.
Third, firstborn is also a title that is transferable:
Gen. 41:51-52, "And Joseph called the name of the first-born Manasseh: For, said he, God hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house. And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath made me fruitful in the land of my affliction" (NASB)
Jer. 31:9, "...for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn (NASB)."
Scripture best interprets scripture. Firstborn does not require a meaning of first created as the Jehovah's Witnesses say it means here. "Firstborn" can mean the first born person in a family and it can also be a title of preeminence which is transferable. That is obvious since Jesus is God in flesh (John 1:1,14) and is also the first born son of Mary. In addition, He is the pre-eminent one in all things. The Jehovah's Witnesses should consider this when they examine Col. 1:15.

It's 3 in 1 The Father, Son, Holy Spirit = LOVE, TRUTH, SALVATION. ALL 3 =1 and & Without 3 there is no 1. Jehovahh being the Father of all who are saved and Christ being the way to our Father.
It's like we are physical beings, God (Jehova) is a spiritual being and Christ was like us..but perfect..physical, & spiritual in this realm. Our physical is our house, our Brain (soul) is the way to our heart (spirit). So gaurd your heart, and listen to your consciene, (angel/Holy Spirit)
