Interesting that 19K Army used the term barbarians. It was after all barbarians sneaking into Rome, along with Romans increasing unwillingness to work and fight that led to their demise. Some might say that's good, those Romans were a bunch of bully's just like the United States. The answer to your question is the answer too many questions. We are over socialized and not only do we reject truth but we attack those that speak it. Politicians use the issue, along with race, sexuality and gender to put people into boxes. You are in the pro immigration box so you can vote for X candidate and demonize Y candidate.

Immigration is great when people adapt to the host nations culture but unfortunately many illegal immigrants hold the same ideals that makes their home nation a place to escape. First and foremost immigrants need to obey the rule of law, something illegals proved they will not do the day the crossed the border.

The United States was not founded by illegal immigration. You point to a nation that was here when the evil white man landed. The natives were genocidal with no written language or permanent structures.

Finally, it would be extremely difficult and likely an exercise in futility to man the entirety of the border. A more reasonable approach would be harsher immigration laws that are actually enforced like those the Mexican government enforces.

You really don't think that shooting (MURDERING) a person for jumping a fence, or crossing a river is going to stop illegal immigration, and save the U.S. money, for the needy, U.S. citizens. Do you have any idea about what's going on in other parts of this world? When was the last time a Mexican crossed the border with 20 pounds of explosives straped to his torsol and blew himself up, along with dozens of innocent Americans, or a group of Mexican terrorist committing mass murdrer on Americans, on American soil? I say if they get caught we give them a choice. Join the military and go fight for this county they want to live in or be sent back to Mexico. If they join the military then they will be willing to put their lives on the line for the country and should be given the chance of becoming citizens once they serve.

To be rational. Because of the Posse Comititus Act the military cannot be used as a law enforcement body. Since anything to do with immigration is federal law, the enforcement is designated to a government body (Department of Homeland Security Customs and Immigration service) that has been given law enforcement power.

defending our borders from those who will not adopt our policies and adapt to our culture is more like defending our economy and identity as a country who will accept all who will accept our way of doing things right. Many hispanics have come here through immigrations and have paid taxes and stolen nobody's i.d. most have done nothing right for america despite which jobs they have taken. I am totally for indiscriminate killing but to be real the only justification to shoot someone coming over would be their intent to cause harm or of course terrorists. I do despise illegal immigrants impacting our economy the way they do but shooting is kindof overkill.
