i hurt my neck and the doctor gave me 10MG and im suppose to take half a tablet befor i go to bed.

Flexeril is a muscle relaxant. While you sleep it will help to keep the muscles in the affected injury area from spasming and allows the affected area to heal. You may find that in the morning you have a hard time "getting going" as it tends to hang on with some people and "clouds"/slows their ability to think. My head used to clear by 10am or so.

You pretty much have been given totally accurate info so far, but I just want to add one more thing (I'm also a chronic pain patient). It would be way too long to explain this but trust me whehn I say Flexeril is a horrid medication. It can cause many problems. And I'm quite pro-pain medication when it's the proper one. There is a much better/safer muscle relaxant--Soma (generic name Carisopradol). But I agree with one of the posts that you really should go see an MD for this. Pain medication really needs to be taken properly and there can be so many interactions etc that I would be sure to talk to a trained professional first. Some meds have NO effect on different types of pain. Of course if you are getting a euphoria from the medication then it's recreation not pain management. When the right dose is given for pain it just goes to the pain and helps reduce it. Last please be VERY careful of mixing any of these meds with alcohol. Way too many folks have done it and not woken up again. It's playing russian roulette, so hope that's not a factor.

makes you dizzy kind of sleepy. If you have hurt your neck badly it will help you a lot, as far as your healing. I hurt my neck and back a year or so ago and was given a muscle relaxer and didn't take it for a while, as soon as I started to take it I woke up with much less pain. good luck.

It will help your muscles relax, and relieve your neck pain.
Flexeril usually doesn't make you as feel drugged or woozy as some other muscle relaxants like Soma.

You will get sleepy. It's a good muscle relaxer but it will knock you out.
