"What's good for the goose is good for the gander" is an old saying that means Men and Women are equals and what ever is good for her is good for him as well. The gander is a male of the Anatidae species. They don't lay eggs, the goose (female) does.

No...what the goose does will bring bad karma, why would the gander want to get into that as well?
Treat others as you'd want to be treated...that's how people should live...then there'd be so many fewer questions of "is this okay" when referring to their own behavior.

Actually the ORIGINAL saying is "what is sauce for the goose is also sauce for the gander", it's based on cooking, what you baste one bird in you can baste another bird in regardless of sex of the birds. And yes when it comes to cheating, what is sauce for the goose is indeed sauce for the gander.

simple: they're guys. There always has, and always will be, a double standard where men can treat their women like sh1t and cheat on them etc but if the roles are reversed we get treated like we killed someone! We will never have a level playing field when it comes to relationships - just stand your ground!

I usually use that adage when I'm talking about sociopolitical gender equality (too many long words, I know), but you have a point. There are too many double standards involved in relationships — another reason to stay out of them.

Two wrongs don't make a right. It's the good old double standards. It's always been that way and as long as we let it go on it will never stop.If your cheating than there's something wrong with your relationship.

Logically, yes you are right, but then guys are not always logical. In the past, it was "sowing their wild oats" for guys, but "being a tramp" for females; sometimes there is still some of that thinking.
