I guess it is worries or my meds or whatever. I feel so manic --very up and can't get back to a routine and physically I am not good now. I am having some constipation and hair loss. I can't concentrate on work and I am feeling weird. Any suggestions. Sorry if this sounds really too much information. Kinda embarrassing but I just want to know something that might help. I am going to see a dermatolgist soon about my hair loss and I talked to a doctor about my meds and he said that they would not cause it. The hair loss is not real noticable to others, just me. I know my body and it is thinning in the front. He said it is due to worry. Anyway, altogether, I can't sleep or don't want to, even though I get spurts of much fatigue and I can't concentrate on work

Sounds like you are under a lot of stress. You seem to have all the classic symtoms of depression. Are you currently taking any anti-depressants? If so, you may need to increase them and if not, you may want to consider asking your doctor about taking them. Your not alone, many people have the same symtoms. Get a second opinion on your meds or look them up online for side affects. Check out these sites, and talk to your doc (or get another) I am speaking as a friend, and as someone who has depression. I have been on medication for depression for about 6yrs. now. Medication helps, but isn't the only solution. Although I think your symtoms sound like depression, you could also have thyroid problems. They have been known for causing similar symtoms. Thyroid can also be researched on the second site listed. Good luck.

I'm really sorry this is happening to you. There are some things you can try. You may want a second opinion or at least talk to a pharmacist about the medication. I don't know if you're seeing a therapist. If you aren't, then I think it would be a good idea. If you don't have benefits at work, then you could go to a non-profit agency or ask your doctor for a referral. You deserve help with this. It must be really hard, but try to make a relaxing routine for yourself.

If you can't sleep, then at least take as much downtime as you can, drink soothing beverages like hot milk or herbal tea. Try to get a bit of gentle exercise like walking during the day. It might alleviate a bit of the constipation and worry. I've never been what I would call manic, but I have had anxiety problems. I am sending all my positive energy your way.

You have a whole lot going on? Do you know what your worried about or do you just worry in general? What kind of meds are you taking? Have you told your doctor about all of your symptoms or just asked if your meds can cause anything? It sounds to me that if you have told your doctor all of this then you need to find a new doctor because your sucks. There is no reason you should tell a doctor all of that and have them just say your meds can't be the cause. You need to find a new doctor and a psychiatrist as well. It sounds to me like your emotional issues are causing physical issues. Good luck to you.

Read your posts and saw you are taking bipolar meds. Are they working properly and do you have support in place to help you out when you're unstable? I hope so :-) Google your meds and see if constipation & hair loss are side effects. Whether they are or not doesn't matter though because you need them for your mental well being. I have the same hair loss problem and after doing much research and talking to my hairdresser, I have come to realize it's quite common & normal in women my age (40). For the constipation, this can be fixed by taking metamucil capsules daily. I wish you peace and happiness :-)

I'm having the same problems myself. This is what I am trying to do. I hope it helps you. I have been trying to meditate an hour in the morning and at night. I soak myself into work, going in early and working late. I am focist on the most positive things that I can. Good luck!
