it depends on how much you care about your reputation and what your friends think.
if you really like him, then don't break up w/ him and talk to him and say he's being a jerk and ruining your reputation

Follow your heart. If he is being a bad boyfriend then dump his butt or confront him about it. If it were truely meant to be then you will be together for the rest of your lives.
