What is Atheism (i dont know if i spelled that right)?

I dont realy know what Atheism is. It sounds like a religion because they make it out like that. But I mean what if you just want to believe in nothing and just want to be able to sleep soundly at night without having to believe that someone is watching over me and making sure my football team wins!!!! Because...hehe....obviously the reason why all the football teams win is cuz..hehe..GOD IS WATCHING OVER THEM THE INGHT OF THE GAME!!!....lol i crack myself up sometimes!!

Atheism is technically a disbelief in a God or being that is above you.

Atheists, here at Yahoo, don't always measure up to that standard.

They BOW to people and things, thus they HOLD someone above them.

To be an Atheist you BOW to no one or NOTHING.

Nothing and no one is above you.

You put nothing or no one on a pedistal.

You are first, everything else is equal at minimum.

You are the same as anyone else. The Pope. George Bush. Albert Einstein. No one is GREATER or LESSER.

No, Atheism is NOT a religion, in fact it is the ABSENCE of belief in a god or religion. Many people already do not believe in god, and yes, they do sleep soundly at night. I think you have answered your own question and amused yourself quite well. Good luck with your football team!
