It may be because the answer was just "No" or "Not right now".

Well not knowing what it is your seeking, I am a little lost for an answer. But as a good "rule of thumb"; A prayer must be for something good for all, you can't pray to win a race, because that is a selfish prayer. You can pray for support to do your best. Basically pray fo things that will bring honor to God and others and you will recieve a blessing from that. Also sometimes the answer is "NO", like your mother did when you begged for another cookie.

Because prayers to God are all about His will being done, not necessarily ours.
Sometimes, God answers with a "No" and sometimes He answers with a "Not Yet."
When your will aligns with God's, you'll hear a "Yes."
(And Biblically, we learn that sin in our lives can hinder our prayers. And of course, non-belief is a major problem. If you're a Christian, keep praying, keep knocking, keep putting your intentions before the Lord. )

God set up a system on earth and ditched, probably because God knew humans would go foul everything up. God created science, and then went and kicked back, watched God's Earth, what some of us would call reality tv, hoping in the end all God's creations would live happily ever after. I hope God's wish comes true for all of our sakes. To answer you question, God doesn't deal with humans, never has, never will.

Do not stop praying. This is a test from god. God wants to see how close and how passionate you are with your pray. He wants to see how much you believe in him. If you believe in him, then keep praying. And trust me, when he will know you are his favorite and you did not loose your faith, he will give you more than you asked for. God loves them very very very much who has this wonderful ability:Patience...you will see.

first off, u can pray all u want. but it is only up to God to answer your prayers. But he only answers them in his time, and not your time. Sometimes they are not answered because we need to do other things in our life before God says that we are ready for the blessing that he has for us. remember we are here on earth and our time is totally different from his. To us it might seem like forever, but to God its like seconds going by. Focus on other things in life, and let God lead u to where he wants u to be. Patience is the answer to the question. Good Luck, !!!! Be Blessed, and may God smile upon u always. !!!!!!!!!!!!

Pray to The Father in Jesus name.
Sometimes God says no or wait.

James 4:3
You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
You would have to read the entire chapter of James 4 to get all the proper context. But essentially, God responds to those who ask according to His will. There are plenty of examples throughout history where God intervened in a supernatural way.

We really can't answer that . God works the way He works and we don't always understand. Keep praying though.

Because when you pray, no one hears you except yourself.
Next time, pray in a crowded room and actually speak. And instead of praying to god, pray to the people you're standing around. And instead of asking, demand that someone solve your problems. Cos, since there ain't no god, a supreme being won't be answering your prayer.
Only then, may your prayers get answered.

Because prayer is primarily meant to rectify the mind. Thinking otherwise (i.e. that it has some magical effect on the outside world) is superstition.
