In school we had maps above the blackboard that you could pull down when needed and then roll back up (like window shades). Tom Hanks also had them in the movie Sleepless in Seattle. Does anyone know where you could buy them?

Also, I've seen map stores in the mall. In San Diego, there's one at Horton Plaza

Look under Educational teaching aid and supplies or look under maps in the Yellow Pages.

Go to Walmart, buy a box of Little Debbie Cremes.
On the back of the box are Hammond World Atlas, US map and a world map 50"x38" each, buy both for $4.95 +$2.00 shipping.

Then take these and glue them to a roll-up shade.

Voualla, you have your school maps.
