4000 yrs ago (im guesstimating here) civilised people believed in the Greek gods or the Egyption doggies and pussys. Now people believe in Abe's God, Noah's ark, and some people even think that the Earth is only 4000 yrs old cause that's wat their holy book sais. Now thats indoctrination...so amusing, hah, ha! ANyway bk to my point in another 4000 yrs do you think our successors in life will believe in different, novel religions? Maybe the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster will be the dominating religion, announcing holy wars, throwing their spaghetti hoops with their noodly appendages at their agressors, say...the house of the Pizza monster

I think muslisms will have been wiped out by the west by this stage, and that Christians will have come to their senses.

"Islam is the fastest growing religion". Its not true. Look where the growth is taking place Europe-via immigration, the middle east and Indonesia-because the populations are bombing and outside of the west you don't really have much of a choice, convert or suffer. I here this crap all the time, i wish people would start thing for themselves instead of regurgitating the half-truths of propagandists. As for Atheism I expect it to grow more and more with the decline of western civilization. This is because atheism (not always) for the most part and the Darwinism and secular humanism that go hand and hand are the post ex facto philosophical justification for the perverted lifestyles that the post-christian west promotes. So the atheists and post-modernists will inherit the west and live lives of pleasure and their populations will suffer perpetual diminution while the Muslims grow more and more in population. In the end the west will have it worse off under the Muslims than it ever did under the Christians and that is what will be visited upon your children's children. But never mind that keep fantasizing about spaghetti monsters and mock God until that terrible day when you will confess with you mouth bowing you knee only to be cast into hell. Then you will know that God is not mocked, but was long suffering because it was and today still is his will that you might be saved. Harden not your heart.

Wow, I hope we make it to the year 6000!
I have to believe that by that time, humans will have figured out a way to free themselves of physical mortality & pain, either by merging with technology, replacing organs, or genetically stopping the aging process.
Once death is no longer a concern, people will stop wasting energy on religious beliefs. What would be the point if you're never going to see him/her/it anyway?

I'll be buggered !It's that scientist with the high morality, once again.
Christian principles teach us to tolerate people; not wipe them out.We have plenty of sense ,you lack it.
Now before you start attacking my grammar ,learn to spell properly.

Read your Bible, it already predicts what life wil be like in 4000 years, if you know how to interpret it PROPERLY, only so very few of us do.
God works in mysterious ways, my friend. It wouldn't do if we ALL knew. I know, but I am not telling you. Sorry.

And maybe not. Let's not rush to any changes in our beliefs based on what "might" happen in 4000 years.
