the simple fact that you asked this question means you are onto something. if you feel that the person that you are helping really could care less about you, then you are being taken for granted. look deep into your situation and open your eyes. also, do you really think that the other person would do everything in his /her power to be there for you?

Depends on the situation.
If you are left doing something that you don't want to do probably beacuse you did not speak up and say you did not want to.

Do they only call when they need a ride? Do they just say "hi" to borrow money? Stuff like that means they're using you... Talk to them about it, and if it doesn't stop, lose 'em.
