Put a little brown paper bag filled with goodies ( inexpensive toys from a dollar store) on the back of the toilet. Every time she goes to the bathroom, she gets a toy. I know, rewarding her for something like going to the bathroom may seem wrong - somehow - but she will want the toy so badly, that she will go to the bathroom. Don't let her see what's in the bag, it should be a surprise.

Have you tried starting your child on one of those smaller plastic toilets? The large real toilet can be intimidating, even frightening to young children, as they see the gaping hole in the top and cannot reach the floor. They are afraid to fall off or fall in when they are in such a vulnerable position.
Is your child also urinating only in the pull-up? If not, you can praise the child every time they use the "big girl" toilet. However, avoid being upset or angry if they poo in their pants...they will probably already be feeling shame about it.
Another thing you can try is get the tight elasticized top part of a pull-up, but cut the bottom part out of it so it leaves an opening for the BM. Then have them sit on the toilet while wearing the pull-up and see if the child will actually go in that manner, at least in the short term.
Finally, if the issue persists, I would suggest consulting your pediatrician.

don't listen to the people who say your child should have been potty trained by now. every child is different. Go to the store and let her pick out her own underware that she likes. let her run around in undies but no pants in day for easier cleanup. make it a big deal that she is geting to be a big girl now. tell everyone within her earshot that she is such a big girl now. buy her other big girl stuff like a new big girl tooth brush or things such as that. let her know that big girls go in the big girl potty. i would skip the small potty just get a special seaat that fits over the toilet seat and a small step that she can use. put her on the potty and make her calm by telling or reading her a story, playing the what is this called ( like nose or mouth) game or singing songs so that she assosiates the potty with something wonderful. put her on the toilet at least once every two hours even if she doesn't look like she has to go or she has already went. i wouldn't recomend treats. just praise her when she goes and again tell everyone in her earshot that she went to the potty like a big girl.

I had the same problem with my son.
Put her on the toilet as soon as you notice she has started to do it on the pull up. That would help her to realize that on the toilet is better.
After she finishes, give her a reward (a sweet/healthy treat, a sticker, a praise, a hug....).
It took me 5 days of doing that.
Also, take her shopping for underwear, she should pick them, and remind her she will wear them as soon as she keeps her pull ups clean and dry.
I hope it helps.
Good luck.

Get rid of the pull ups except for nightime use. Put her in regular little girl-pretty printed-underwear during the day. If she has a bm in the regular underwear make her wash them out-don't do it for her. It worked for my oldest grandson. He almost vomited while washing out his nasty underwear and never had another bm in his underwear. Of course you will need to supervise then be sure her hands are throughly washed afterward.

Its really hard for them to learn to go on the potty since they use differant muscles to go on the potty all you can do is reall just incourage her and figure out when she usually goes and have her sit on the potty then and just read to her or talk. Good luck !

I am having the same problem, we will go all day in normal underwear, we make him sit on the toilet several times a day, but as soon as you put the dry nights underwear things on him he does in them, it is costing us a fortune...oh and we are nearly 4!!!

patience, it takes time. reward system works well, most of all try to make it a pleasant experience. *** personally, i think you really should have started sooner....easier.....good luck, remember, plan to stay a while, schedule, reward, and something to keep child occupied during the event, so she doesn't realize that time is passing.....
