If they don't, well that's one less fence-hopper to deal with.

EDIT:
I like the answerer's idea about learning English. They would DEFINITELY learn English, at least basic stuff like "GET YOUR *** DOWN" or "THERE'S A MAN WITH A GUN BEHIND YOU" in order to survive, and they'd probably try to learn more than that while they were over there... or at least they'd come with a basic understanding of English.

I've got one:
Build the damn fence...10 feet high, across the entire Mexico/US border
Put sensors on them and put more border patrol units along the entire border.
Have snipers sit atop the fence with guns drawn, 24/7
If an illegal approaches, yell a warning.
If they recoil, do nothing.
If they keep moving, shoot them.
A virtual fence is nonsense. Amnesty is insanity.
Enough bullsh**.
Oh, and we need to deport all those here illegally, including their children which crowd our schools and allow for bi-lingual classrooms.

Other countries used to do this throught the centuries...... in more recent times think of the French Foriegn Legion. Didn't matter who you were, spend 5 years fighting and at the end they would recieve citizenship. They would be forced to learn the language and also get the worst jobs. But if you were willing to do it it showed that you were willing to go all the way. Doubtful that Latinos would go for it. It would require work, becoming an American and integrating..... Good idea though.

Sending them back to their country wont work so why not give it a try. Hey why don't we just take every illegal immigrant that comes into this country and tell them, if they don't get a green card, learn English, get a job and find a home then they will be shot! Sounds mean but maybe then, we wont have so many of them coming over here knowing they would die if they don't do it legally.

I think you have an awesome idea but in the meantime lets hope they don't kill all our AMerican soldiers and rape all the women while they are there..after all they know that anything they do will go unpunished.. I like the idea of the 10 foot fence armed men 24/7..one warning and FIRE...(just be sure they land on the Mexican side..America can't afford to bury them..we have enough uninsured people to bury)

Enforcement is the best answer on this...just send the people home. No illegal immigration, no special deals, exceptions, sob-stories, or the rest of it. Other countries need to take care of their people. Don't be soft on this one, illegal immigration is a crime,
it needs to be treated as a crime.

I thought of that also, plus, they would then they would learn English (hopefully) and they would respect living in America more, knowing they almost paid the ultimate sacrifice
