Your right Sir, she is fat and will not do well in a Bikini at all. I think you should buy Diet pills and slip them into her food and make her run mile at night before you will let her eat. And in my opinion, I think that you should change her name to Fatty Mc Fat Fat, maybe she'll get the message and stop eating the ring dings for breakfast.

It doesn't sound like she's fat, but the question is...is she physically fit? Can she walk up the stairs a couple of floors without being out of breath? Can she walk a mile without needing to sit down or being out of breath? I'm only asking, because today's kids don't get enough exercise like we did when I was growing up in the 60's and early 70's. Back then, we Physical Education at school, where we got exercise whether we liked it or not. During my Elementary school years we also had recess, which was another opportunity to play outdoors and this was every day. Then, after school and my homework was done, I would go outside and play with my younger brother and friends until it was time to eat. After dinner, we would rush right back out side to play some more until it was time to come in and get ready for bed. The only time we would stay in is if it was storming out or if it was too cold out. By the way, it was about a mile walk each way to my Elementary school and I did that in all kinds of weather, because we did not have a car back then. We didn't get a car until after my younger sister finished High School and she was five years younger than me.

Wow. I can't believe you actually asked that. Your daughter is at a perfectly normal weight. It's people like you that make pageants look bad.I love pageants but I hate parents like you that tell their kids that they're ugly for being to "fat". Pageants are not about how "good" you look its about confidence, stage presence, posture and poise, and ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT. Your daughter will look fine in the swimsuit portion because her bones will not be sticking out like most girls her age. You should ask your daughter how she feels about pageants you never know she might not even be into that. Real parents support their kids and tell their kids how beautiful they look. You should be ashamed of yourself. Don't be surprised if you daughter becomes anorexic or bulimic. Just know it's your fault.
I hope your daughter will win but not for the reasons you want.

115 pounds = 52.16 kg. Thats a Body mass of 20.1, within the healthy range for an adult. She has some getting taller years yet . You should probably just not put her in the pageants, or let her go in them and if she doesn't win, she doesn't win. Big deal, its not an important thing to do.

You are crazy. Your daughter sounds the perfect size. When I was 5'3. I was 12 and weighed 120. And I was no where nearrr fat. You are probably messing your daughter up right now. What a GREAT dad. Anorexic is not cute at all! Way to boost some confidence buddy!

You need to leave your child alone maybe she doesn't want to be in a pageant...YOu could cause her problems putting a lot of pressure on her to lose weight, and cause her to have an eating disorder...If she needs to lose some weight, try cooking healthier meals and the whole family join in...you really do have to handle the problem with a little couth.

She is not overweight so don't force her, She's 13 and needs to grow. By putting her on a diet you're taking nutrients away that she needs to be healthy. Screw the pageant, those things are stupid.

her weight needs to match up to her height..thats not fat at all!
85-90 pounds is like anorexic for a 5"3 year old girl...thats 13. its so bad to make her think like that.
i think you should support her more instead of put her down.

Fat?! Where do you get the idea she is fat? Are you trying to make her become anorexic? Do you want her to have an eating disorder and eventually die from being underweight?! What kind of mother are you if you are saying she is fat? Just telling her this will only lower her self esteem, eventually make her believe she is fat, then unfortunately, become anorexic and develop health problems because of it. Is that what you want for your daughter?

Your daughter is 5'3" and 115 lbs - that is not fat but you're certainly pathetic and one of the many reasons that so many teens have such low self-esteem and super obsessed with their looks ????
