it really depends on your mouth.

I had a hard time because i'm and adult and have a child's mouth hence it took longer and i had more stitches, which broke because i'm allerigic to the waxed stitches. but then they changed it.

I dont' remember being in pain. I just remember not being able to eat what i wanted, but damn those kfc potatoes where good and ice cream.

I just know the meds they gave me knocked me out and make sure that you sleep sitting up. that way the blood doesn't drip down.

you may not have pain at all . I had a friend have hers done all four and she was fine the next day no meds nothing.

I just had two taken out last week.

The surgery itself should be painless. There'll be some pressure and it will be very uncomfortable, but the freezing will spare you the worst of it.

After that, the rest depends on a lot of things, such as whether anything had been affected by the wisdom teeth before you got them pulled. I hadn't had any trouble prior to having them pulled, and for me, the first day was very painful but there was practically no trouble afterwards. If you 'need' to get rid of all four immediately, chances are you won't have it as easy as I did, and you'll probably be very sore for a few days after. There will also likely be swelling. Just use painkillers and ice and take it easy.

And... eat a good meal before going. Few things are as frustrating as being hungry while having gauze stuffed in your mouth, a sore jaw, and a numb tongue.

you probably have developed a "dry socket" and the bone is exposed where the blood clot should have formed. This can occur from sucking through a straw or vigorously washing out your mouth or eating foods that require you to chew. It is something that you need to call the dentist about that removed your tooth. He will gently wash out the debris that has settled there and apply an anesthetic to relieve your pain and allow this to heal properly. It isn't jaw cancer. You need to tell the answering service about your pain and they will usually come in even on an early Saturday morning to take care of it.

During the procedure if you are sedated with an iv, it is best, but if they numb you really good then you will not feel any pain, just pressure. Afterwards, the pain is really not that bad, unless you get a dry socket by using a straw or smoking(getting air in the hole), then you will be in for some real pain!

During the procedure, you will be medicated. Afterward, it will be painful, but you will have pain medication to help with that. The severe pain should start to subside in 2-3 days.

It depends on how quickly you heal. You won't feel anything while they are removing them but your mouth with probably be a bit tender for a couple of days after.

I had mine out and I was really scared about the pain but it turned out to be no big deal.

For me, the hard part of visiting a dentist is the SHOTS. I HATE needles!!!!!!!!!!
The novacane stings when going in, but in several seconds your mouth goes numb. Im sorry you have to go throu that. I hate needles. so i really feel for you. Good Luck and Be Brave

Not bad. Just keep your head elevated and drink without a straw so that you don't get dry sockets. Good luck.
