My tongue hurts really bad. What did I do to it? I haven't done anything out of the ordinary.

oh man u kissed someone with herpysifalitis..omg u better get to the doctor soon or it will swell up and u will suffercate.

Well, this is a tough question because what you think is not out of the ordinary might be unheard of to me. *smile* I have heard of people who have the tendency to bite their tongues in their sleep. They wake up with excessive pain. You might want to try sleeping with a mouth guard and see if that alleviates the problem. I hope this helps!

Did you bite it? Or burn it?
The tongue actually heals itself in a day or two from minor injuries. If this lasts longer you should see a doctor. He might need to check for a growth or tumor.

Maybe you eat something hott and burned your tongue, or bite down on it in your sleep, or it could be something you ate too much sour candy or something and it got to the taste buds on your tongue.

You might have burned it.. by drinking something too hot maybe? If not, then maybe it is a kanker(sp) sore. If it is, it should go away, but dont be bothered too much by it. It you dont think it is either of those, maybe u bit it? if not, then i have no clue. Sorry.
