Ok, scratch that...

If she's still cold, give her a warm bath and make sure you dry her very well with a towel. If you have a thermometer you can take her temp, she should be 100 degrees. If she's started moving around, you can try giving her some honey, or you can mix four teaspoon of sugar and a pint of water to make glucose to give to her. Yes, I like cats so much I whipped out my veterinarian book...

P.S. DO NOT USE A BLOW DRYER ON THE CAT

I'm sorry to hear she died. I lived in a tiny town in KY once and the nearest emergency vet was over an hour away. I once had a cat die in my car because I couldn't get there fast enough... :(

Keep it warm. Look in the phone book yellow pages under "veterinarians" or "animal hospitals." Many cities have emergency medical clinics (open 24 hours) for animal emergencies. You can call and describe the problem, and if it is bad enough, they will have you come in. Don't know where you live, but if you have free long-distance, you can call MedVet in Ohio and ask them what to do. Number is: (614) 846-5800. Or you can try 1-800-891-9010. They're open 24/7. You could also try a university that has a school of veterinary medicine. Good luck!

Good answers here - warm towels or a water bottle (drugstores have those), a little warm food IF she can keep it down, but not too much - if she does keep a little food down, try a little boiled chicken and rice - small little bits, not too hot.. careful with a blow dryer, it's likely to be too hot and scare her anyway. Don't give much cow's milk, cats usually cannot tolerate that - a pet store would have the correct type of milk for kittens. I wouldn't put her near any fire.

Just keep her warm until you can find a vet.

We'll be thinking of you and the little one. Please post a message tomorrow and let us know how she is.

wrap her in blankets to get her warm or put her next to a fire warming her will help then call the vet asap he will know what to do about the vomiting put her over a towel so theres less to clean up just keep her warm and rub her back to keep blood flowing

for food try baby formula or canned cat food take her temp makesure its not too hig it should be around 100 if she wont eat try useing a little seringe and little bits of food at a time make the food room temp or it could make things worse

wrap her up in a towel or thin blanket. Fill up some water bottles and heat thm up.Put the water bottles against her on the towel. The bottle should not be touching the kitty.Make sure she does not get dehydrated. If her gums are white and sticky she is getting dehydrated. If she stays sick call a vets office and the machine should give you an emergency number. Good luck. I will keep your kitty in my prayers tonight..

i would look for a vet clinic that is open all day and night or call some place to walk you through everything. make sure you keep it warm, if there is a store close by get some kitty formula and give her some of that if she isnt eating. i just had my cat pass away last year she was 18 years old my parents had her before i was even born.

some people just shouldn't be allowed to have pets. why would you LET your son wash the cat outside in the cold?! I don't care where you live and what's open, if it is suffereing like that you NEED to finds a place the is open, drive to another city. somethng. CATS ARE LIVING THINGS THAT FEEL PAIN. if it was your son that was in that condition you would have found somewhere to take him. you could have done the same for the kitten.

Put her in warm water or wrap her in towels warmed in the dryer. The important thing is to get her core temperature back to normal. If you have a rectal thermometer, take her temp every so often. It won't give you the core temp. but it can tell you if she is up to around 99 where she belongs. I hope she'll be okay.

The only thing you can do is keep her warm until you get to the doctor. I hope he only got it wet and didn't put its head under the water. It could have water in its lungs. The kitten really needs to see a doctor. I hope it will be OK.
