Hi Alpha
There are a couple of really neat energy therapy processes that build forgiveness into their protocol. One process is called Emotional Freedom Technique and you can read about it at
http://tinyurl.com/yegzpe Another process was developed by a psychologist who is also a Christian minister and you can get hold of his ebook at http://tinyurl.com/ychl3z
These are relatively easy techniques to learn and do yourself. They are both very effective if the techniques are practiced as instructed, and will result in release of negative emotions and forgiveness. The EFT site has a list of practictioners, many of whom are psychologists, etc.
All the best,

I would assume that any therapist could help you work on forgiving. If you've been so hurt that you need therapy then it could take you a while to fix it. Keep a open mind and heart if you do truly want to forgive, It can be hard to do sometimes.

Just don't forgive. There are certain things that for a human being are unforgivable: murder, rape, child molestation, etc. I know the Bible says you should, but it also says burning the entrails of a goat is pleasing to the Lord. You can forgive a couple of lies a couple of times sometimes. You can forgive someone forgetting an anniversary, but many things are for a human unforgivable. God forgives everything, humans do not.

YES there is! I can't remember it right now but here is what I can tell you, I learned about it in a psych class I believe that it was personality theories (studied freud and such) I do remember that it is a cycle and is similar to greiving I believe it was 5 stages and everyone goes through at different paces....if this is bothersome for you CBT with a therapist could help

I'm not sure what the question means. But, psychotherapy will help with any emotional illness. Yes, it will help in forgiving someone or yourself. Need to call a mental health specialist or clinic.

depends. there's organizations who will mediate in forgiveness. if someone murdered someone in your family or someone that you are close to, there's companies who mediate that at no cost. but as far as a broken hart, therapy can help, though it can be expensive. the best medicine, however, is time. if you're religious, consider this: god says to forgive, but he doesnt say how fast.

I suggest you read the book "The Anatomy of Peace" by The Arbinger Institute. It's great with helping you understand the core of collusions by realizing people create the very problems they are trying to solve.
