tell your friend. obviously, by goin with this guy your friendship with your friend will be permanantly scarred, unless she falls for some other guy hard. But give her the courtesy of knowing that yes, u like him, and yes, u are going to pursue him... its better than lying to her and since she IS your friend, she deserves the courtesy of knowing what you are about to do.
Good Luck!

You would not think of doing this to a "best friend". There are too many women out there for you to hurt your friend this way. Even if he acts like he is ok with this, he would not be.

I'd find someone else. Personally I think it's a bit sleazy to go for a best friend's ex... none of my friends would do it for me so I don't do it to them (one even dumped a girl because he found out I was her ex of 2 years and she had hidden the fact).

best friend's partners are off limits. i never even allow myself to consider thinking that way..
why is it that so many people on here want their friend's ex? doesn't make any sense.
if you're willing to ruin a 6 yr friendship over a potential date or fling that probably won't last, then go for it..

I would talk to the best friend and explain and then move on to the new relationship. It works. . . with a true friend. They want the best for you.
