but you have to understand people God loves you even if you are Gay but never the Less just because he loves you or me does not mean that we will make it to heaven i'm not trying to say that there is no hope for gays but you have to understand if we don't begin to transform into what god wants us then we will not have a place in the kingdom of GOD and all sin is forgivable though the Blood of the lamb Jesus Christ AMEN... You have touched on a nerve with many people with your statement question. I will not try to answer all of them or really yours, but will offer up some statements I think need to be said.

First, to those that say your translation is wrong or that kind of homosexuality did not exist read this: Leviticus 18:22
" 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.

Now, for some facts. True Christianity is offensive and causes people to hate you, but Christ said "they hated him first." We need to focus on the love of God and the son whom he sent to us. We also need to see how Christ dealt with people during his earthly ministry. He loved them and spoke to their hearts and then said "sin no more." He did not pick out a "favorite sin." All sin is equally offensive to God and if you pay close attention to the scripture you used their is a long list WITH homosexuals in the mix. But, I am saddened you did not finish the scripture in context as it is my favorite and one that speaks to me every time I read it.

11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

We are cleansed, made holy, justified to stand before God on the final day because of Jesus and by the Spirit of God.

Ok... now here's a great verse. It's translated so many different ways. Here's one version "9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

"10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Should you take the time to do some research, you might find that "effeminate" refers to men living in indolent luxury, and not doing the sort of work that men were expected to do. It didn't necessarily refer to who they might take as sexual partners. Using stereotypes, some extended the meaning of effeminate to homosexual.

Look at a few more translations, and you might just find that the word "homosexual" isn't there in quite a few of them, and for good reason; it's not what was meant.

Yes homosexuality is a sin. But you must remember so is lying, stealing, cheating (dis-honesty), gluttony, and many other things that everyone does now and then. The problem is that too often we condemn the sins that we see as more offensive or that we do not participate in, while giving into our own lusts. This is why we Christians often come across as bigots or hypocrites. The fact is that all sin, if not repented of and covered by Jesus' blood, will lead to the lake of fire, and as much as I wish I could go rob a bank and it be ok, I don't make the rules. You can follow them, or not, it's all up to you.

Why don't you add Romans Chapter 1 to this? I can't believe how often it is overlooked.

But anyone who dies actively caught up in sin isn't going to go to heaven. It also talks about the sins that keep people out of heaven in Galatians chapter 5. It is not just homosexuality. There are a lot of sins that keep people out of heaven. The question is whether we let the Lord be the Lord of our life, or whateve immoral behavior we may become addicted to.

Judging and pointing fingers, convicting... is not our job as Christians. Jesus is the only one who can judge because he died for all sins. He also knows people's histories, their lifes, he knows what makes them tick and act the way they do. And let me tell you, he has more compassion on us than we think he does.

First take the log out of your own eye, before trying to take a toothpick out of someone elses, then you will see clearly... (paraphrased here)

Funny, the King James version says:

Salvation is not denied to gays; but, they must seek from Christ their deliverance from the evil snare or disorder that the Evil one has inflicted upon them and they must strive not to fall in that stinking mire of the sin of homosexuality which God will punish with fire and brimstone (as what He did to Sodom and Gomorrha) even before He comes for the last time (Luke 17.29-30; Apoc 9.18).

Nowhere in the bible does it say that God wants pompous bigoted *** holes telling people what to do. Go tend your own thorns and weeds. And don't touch your wanker ... that's a sin!

I am sorry you need to buy a new bible since the word "homosexual" was not connoted long after the bible was written. Today the bible has been corrupted, you need a "correct" bible if there is one even left.

Can one not be gay without being "evil"?? All people have unity with God within their hearts in unconditional love. I refuse to Judge anyone,God alone knows their heart of hearts better than even they.
