Jehovah's Witnesses understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite

That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

These are some of God's promises...
Psalms 37: 9-11: "
For evildoers themselves will be cut off,
But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.
10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.
11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
29:The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it.

Isaiah 25:8: "He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it].

Isaiah 35:5 & 6: "At that time the eyes of the blind ones will be opened, and the very ears of the deaf ones will be unstopped. 6 At that time the lame one will climb up just as a stag does, and the tongue of the speechless one will cry out in gladness. For in the wilderness waters will have burst out, and torrents in the desert plain."

Isaiah 65:21-25: " And they will certainly build houses and have occupancy; and they will certainly plant vineyards and eat [their] fruitage. 22 They will not build and someone else have occupancy; they will not plant and someone else do the eating. For like the days of a tree will the days of my people be; and the work of their own hands my chosen ones will use to the full. 23 They will not toil for nothing, nor will they bring to birth for disturbance; because they are the offspring made up of the blessed ones of Jehovah, and their descendants with them. 24 And it will actually occur that before they call out I myself shall answer; while they are yet speaking, I myself shall hear.

25 “The wolf and the lamb themselves will feed as one, and the lion will eat straw just like the bull; and as for the serpent, his food will be dust. They will do no harm nor cause any ruin in all my holy mountain,” Jehovah has said.

Revelation 21:3 & 4: "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Isaiah 2:4: " And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore."

These are just some of the wonderful things we look forward to after Armageddon and in the new system. There will be no more war, crime, poverty, sickness, death...the earth will be full of loving people who all love Jehovah and everyone will have homes and plenty of food and satisfying work. Jehovah loves us and will make sure that we always have things to do that we enjoy.

Psalms 145:16: "You are opening your hand
And satisfying the desire of every living thing."

Psalms 72: 7,8, 12-14,16
In his days the righteous one will sprout,
And the abundance of peace until the moon is no more.
8 And he will have subjects from sea to sea
And from the River to the ends of the earth.
12 For he will deliver the poor one crying for help,
Also the afflicted one and whoever has no helper.
13 He will feel sorry for the lowly one and the poor one,
And the souls of the poor ones he will save.
14 From oppression and from violence he will redeem their soul,
And their blood will be precious in his eyes.
16 There will come to be plenty of grain on the earth;
On the top of the mountains there will be an overflow."

There are only the chosen 144,000 people that have the heavenly hope. There are around 8,000 of these anointed Christians left on earth. The rest of mankind has the hope for everlasting life in paradise-like conditions (when this earth will be cleansed of all pollution, sickness, wicked people).

The great war you're referring to is Armageddon and this is God's war not man's to destroy those people who refuse to submit to His rulership. This is just the basics.

just before Armageddon false religion will be destroyed by the governments and most likely the united nations will rule for a short time. any one not on Jehovah's and Jesus side will be marked for destruction.Satan will be bound up by our king Jesus Christ for a thousand years.the great crowd of true believers will make it through the great tribulation and Armageddon. then the resurrection will start on the earth will start the righteous and unrighteous will be resurrected to the earth, Jesus appointed followers will be resurrected to heaven, to be co rulers in heaven with Jesus after the thousand year reign of Jesus Satan will be let loose to test earths population again but for the final and last time
mostly from revelation,Daniel ,Ezekiel

I hope you don't join them. I have personal reasons for disliking the Witnesses because I have family members that are Witnesses, who don't care for much else than pioneering and attending meetings, and looking down on non-Witnesses - even family members. Two young snots in the family have alienated me from the cult. Take their literature politely, throw it away when they leave.

Just treat others the way you wish to be treated. You don't have to be a Witness to treat others respectfully.

What I heard, there is no guarantee of salvation, because you never know if you've witnessed to or converted enough people to earn it.

But the problem with this is... SALVATION cannot be earned. Read the Bible. Read the book of Galatians espescially. End of story.

Check out how this JW cult began. You will find they use Christian words but pervert their meaning. Just another MAN-MADE religion. Check out http://www.tmoments.com/jehovah_witness_the_cult.htm and make up your own mind whether to follow the "false christ" of the man who founded the cult or accept the real Jesus who died for your sins at Calvary!
