i want a long thin tribal tattoo on my calf but im not exactly sure what i want. I have kind of a general idea. kinda feminine but not too girly. simple. all black.
i know you want to tell me to go talk to an artist but i would like to go in there with a few pics to give them an idea. Know of any sites?

unless you come from a heritage of people with tribal tattoos i would suggest not getting one. they really were a fad 10 years ago. BUT if you must... just draw out something that you think is pretty. it's not that hard to draw some black lines with swirls or triangles or barbs in it. but basically every combination of tribal type thing has been done and done and done again. my tattoo artist won't even tattoo tribal... at all. but good luck with your tattoo. i hope you'll consider what i've said but i hope you love what you end up getting.

firs off i agree with stu on 1 part alot of peopl have tribal tattoos, not every one does it for meaning if she wants to do it and it has meaning for her whaever leave it be... swallows are cliche but mine arnet... i drew them and placed them myself (i have a floc ok black outlined swallows coverin my WHOLEright side from up under my arm to 3 inches past my waist line... and no one else will have the same one nor will it mean the samt oe ne one else as it does to me... freedom from society and freedom from fear) so to u stu i think if u wanted somthing you shouldnt let the whole social aspect of it get to you... so what if others ave similar 1s? as long as it means something to her no one can tell her not to get it of why to get... ohh and poor *** purple monkey ill sei if i can draw up a flash for you if i do ill contact you, GOOD LUCK

tribal tattoos are very cliché, and any tattooer will think poorly of you, though they'll do it becaue they're being paid to. Get a tattoo that actually means something to you. Everyone has a tribal tattoo, and every one is as meaningless as the next.

You get to use basic templates and adjust them to your liking by size, width, everything. I've made a few that friend's liked so much, they had it tattooed on their arms/backs.
