maybe you are not grounding him the right way, take away everything thats important to him, not just the computer

if he has a tv in his room, take it out
if he has a cell phone, take it away
heck, take the door from his bedroom, eventually he will crack, with no privacy, and no freedom, he will do anything to get it back

I some what agree with the first response. Parents want their children to be happy and fit in wherever they need to and they let child do as they please at a very young age and then when they are 15, 16 , and so on it is to late to teach them any different. I am guessing you already know that and really do not need us to tell you this. It does sometimes fall back on parents. You have to let them know who is boss from day one. I think kids today are so out of tune with reality that it is scary. What is going to happen to all of us when the teenagers today are running things tomorrow? It is pretty scary if you think about it. I just hope you can win this battle. Good Luck

That it do not let him use your computer that will hurt. Stand your ground be a man and a good father. We have the same problem with my stepson who thinks he owns everything especially the computer but his father doesnt have the balls to tell him NO i have to live with that cant wait til he moves out then we will get a home just big enough for the rest of us so he cant move back in. And wat about the attitude of them they think they r almighty

They are not raised biblical anymore. Families are a free for all now. No one sits down at the dinner table anymore.
The whole problem started when moms when to work. We cut out own throats.
My 19 yr old son drove me crazy until he grad high schl and joined the Air Force. Now, he is so respectable to me and others. Remember, we drove our parents crazy once.
I'll pray for you and other like this because I do understand how moms get their feeling hurt by their children. Keep smiling and always be positive to them!!!

Unfortunately I think that the parents are to blame, because some parents let their children get away with disrespecting them and they say nothing about it. So it is not all the teenagers fault, in my opinion.

Teens think that because we all have horrible hormonal imbalances. I myself am not like that...no, I'm not kidding. From what I can tell from my peers, there is no reason, other than immature stupidity and a lack of consequence for doing those things.

Because they are spoiled beyond belief !!
And it happens before we even realize we have created a monster, until the moster bites us in the as$.
My 14 year old gave me the wake-up call I needed last week.
I just hope it's not too late.

A lot of parents would like to know the answer to that...It is like we rear them and they get a certain and it is like you have been waiting for them to come and tell us how to talk to do and live...And they go to talking about what you have work for all your life is theirs...No when you die right now...it is a mystery to a lot of people...You have to take control and keep it or they will make you life miserable.......
