He should be in the clear. The chicken pox vacine has been used since the 90's so unless you specifically asked the doc not to give it to him,he got it.But if it really worries yoy, just ask the doctor's office for a copy of his shot records.

There is a slim possibility that he may still get chicken pox's even if he had been vaccinated.....very very slim... and the reason is that when some people get an injection they may not "convert" over to being immune from the disease... This is rare, however, it does happen. (really not enough to worry about) As well, if the injection is not administered correctly for instance by not being injected into the correct tissue space this may happen. It is very rare that an immunization administered at the proper dose in the correct manner does not "take". Ask your child's pediatrician and they can do a blood test to confirm immunity if it is that worrisome to you. However, I do not think that it is much to worry about. I am more worried about my child science grade then whether or not she will get chicken pox! At least there is a vaccine for that!! Have not found one that protects my child from procrastination!!!

He is still at risk to get chicken pox, they just won't be as severe. My son had the shot (he was born in 1995) When he was four and attending day care he got little bumps on his stomach, back and a few on his legs. It was chicken pox. But it was the lightest case I had ever seen. They were gone in 3 days and he was back at daycare. I remember haveing them as a kid, and they were all over my face, hands, torso, all over my body, it was miserable.

UHM that is amazingly risky to get hen pox once you're an adult. maximum persons get it even as they're toddlers this is totally contagious yet secure. except the youngster is Immune compromised he/she must be only nice, after a week. the most that one receives hen pox in a million lifetime is two times. that is amazingly painful for a grown guy to get hen pox because it is going all a thanks to their balls and their balls can get swollen! you could die from hen pox both once you're immune compromised or when you're having it once you're an adult. As a toddler that is secure yet not as an adult. His mom and toddler might want to really bypass to the clinical specialist and have a glance at to ensure what precisely they have. that is amazingly plausible that the youngster has it back, yet there's no record of absolutely everyone having it more advantageous than 2 situations. If with techniques from any chance, it is the first human being interior the international (his mom) to have it this kind of vast quantity of situations then she might want to stay the hell faraway from the youngster! that is amazingly contagious (aerial) and that is a very uncomfortable ailment! bypass to THE clinical specialist!!!

Yes, even if he has had the chicken pox vaccination there is still a possibility of him getting them. Although, it will be a light case. 9 times out of 10 when a child is vaccinated for it they do not wind up getting it.
Check his shot record to see if he has received it... It'll be under the abbreviation VAR.

Has he had his chicken pox vaccine? I suppose it's a possibility to get it, and if he does, he'll be fine! My kids had their vaccine and have never gotten it.

You should check with his doctor. If he had the chickenpox vaccine then he's not at risk, but if he didn't have it then he is. I think that most states require it now, so if he's in public school then he probably has had it. You could also ask the school nurse, she should have a copy of his immunizations.
