the reason you dont ever see him is he wants you to have faith. and the reason you don't always get what you want for Christmas is because Santa knows whats best for you and has a plan. and the reason he gives you a lump of coal if your bad isn't because he wanted to give you a lump of coal but because you rejected his gift of a pony or Super Smash Brothers or whatever it is you wanted.
look around you, the evidence of Santa's coming is everywhere! i will list the prophecies of Santa's return that are being fulfilled
1. the weather outside is frightfull
2. the fire is so delightful
3. i'm dreaming of a white Christmas
4. it's the most wonderful time of the year
5. it seems like lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you
6. 9/11

as you can see Santa Clause is coming to town,
so you better watch out, you better not cry, you better not doubt or else you'll spend an eternity getting coal.

I can't tell a lie. Yes there was a real St Nick in the past and I wonder what he would think of all of this Santa stuff! I think by he, himself being a true St of God, I believe that he would change this whole thing as far as Santa Clause is concerned. Maybe it would of been better to write a book of him as of how giving he was and how admired he was and leave it at that. The world has put a lie upon his head and God hates a liar, fun or not! To make all the children happy in this world is not worth this lie that even many so called Christians tell.

No, the reason you don't see him is that Santa can stop time, so he can come and go and we never notice.

If there was a tremendous amount of evidence to support his existence like archaeological finds in the North Pole, if he were mentioned by many secular sources including those who hated him, like say in the Talmud, and if many people who claimed that they personally knew him and that he was who he claimed to be and then they were willing to die terrible deaths because they knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was who he said he was, then yes, I would probably believe in him, too
