I should be doing my homework, but I've been on yahoo answers for about an hour now. How do I focus more, and also work faster in general. I'm not slow (mentally), I'm actually pretty smart, but I still take too long to do stuff.

Ask yourself why you take so long to do things and not focusing. Is it because you get off on other things? Are you a 'last minute' type that puts things off?

Begin to train yourself to be more focused. Simply do what you need to do first, then do whatever you like afterwards as a reward of sorts. Or make a list of the things you need to do, then prioritize them. Then begin to do the ones most important first and work your way down the list.

Work hard, play hard. Maybe set aside a day for all hard work on homework, the whole day, no yahoo answers, and alternate that with a day of all hard play. Playing hard all day at video games and personal endeavors to better yourself, hone your mind and reflexes, increase your knowledge, etc.

take deep breaths and if you find your mind wandering than take a break from what you're doing then go back to it.
