When I go to college next year there's a strong possibility I will end up being 6 hrs away from my bf. The opportunities at this college however are far too much to give up to be near a man in my life. I love him a lot and we already live 3 hrs away right now and make it work. Do you think the added 3 hrs when I go away to college will eventually mean an end to the relationship or can these things work for 4 years? I believe it can.. but I'd like some outside opinions. Thanks.

It can work, but the people have to be very strong. There has to be trust and faithfulness. Going to college opens up a whole new world. If you really love each other you can make it work. Good luck.

Iam in a long distance relationship myself and we make things work. I live in Canada and he is in Atlanta Georgia. Its hard at times being so far away from him, but we make the best of it. We talk everynight on the phone and use our webcams to see eachother every weekend. If you love this guy, you'll make things work. As you said, adding an additional 3 hours from the distance that already seperates y'all, wont make any difference. If he truely loves you, then he will wait the 4 years for you to finish college. Theres always holidays and weekends to see eachother. Even if you cant go see him, he can come to you. Even it is only for a night or 2. I wish ya the best!

I had a relationship that stretched from the Midwest to the west and from the midwest to Asia. We have misunderstandings but you know what its working we are working on 3 years 6 hours is a weekend together here or there. Its better than months apart, and only having electronic communication. Trust yourself it will work if you have faith

Yes you can! Just as long as you guys keep in touch. I know of couples going out from California and Chicago (In the US, I hope your from America, if your not...then just ignore). Its hard, but thats the beauty of it....it helps you and your relationship to be stronger and really realize how much you both care for each other. Your education is really important too, if it gets too hard then the decision is up to you, but lets hope it doesnt get to that point.
