Background checks see your record. That record is not checked back a certain period. the record is the record. The age of offenses that the company may be interested in may vary, but they can always see all offenses. In any event, a 3 year old DUI will be deadly for any company that cares about a DUI at all. That's very recent. Read my name

It will always be there unless you get the sentence expunged. Most states has a waiting period (I think my state is 10 years). Even an expunged record would not be totally gone in the case of a security clearance type background investigation. If you are just talking gone for an every day job, find out what the waiting period is in your state, wait it out, hire an Attorney and hope the judge feels pity and/or believes you deserve a clean record.

To tell you the truth. No. It will never go away. It will always be on your record. Your record starts from the moment you get your Learner's Permit. The only thing you can do is make sure you never do anything silly again, and an outstanding record from here on in will be in your favour.

it will hang around on your breath for years. Do it twice it will stain all of your clothes noticeable to even the kid at the video shop. Never do it again eventually your breath will be minty fresh and you'll have the smartest looking suit straight from the dry cleaners

That depends.
I think Bush got his off of his record after a few years, but he had pretty solid political connections.
You should talk to an attorney.

It depends on your state..In Georgia a DUI will remain on your record forever. However, they may mean it wont count as a point on your record anymore, but it might still be visible on your driving record forever.

I think so.
Best advice is to ask a local attorney who does DUI defense. Most will NOT charge for a first visit.
Prior answer is correct. You should not have a problem getting in!
