How long have you been talking for? If you've truly formed a relationship, what you look like shouldn't matter. If however you've been talking only a short while, and the situation is more of a dating thing, I think that you should be honest with him right away. Tell him what's up, and if he doesn't like it, move on. Don't be too worried about this. If he's worth it, he'll stick around.
