I lost my job 2 months ago from lack of motivation. I have been interviewing, but nothing yet. I just don't want to do anything. It is hard for me to get out of bed in the morning. It doesn't matter if I am tired or not. I just lay there staring into space. I have been diagnosed with chronic depression about 2 years ago and I am taking anti-depressents right now. I guess I don't know where to get my motivation. Any ideas as to what might help?

Well I'm not black but I also think this is a good question, I too just went threw a bad break up with a girl that i thought i would be with forever. But now i realize that we were good together at the time, We grew apart and things didnt work because of that. I do however think that people can be together for a really long time. My parents for example have been together for 19 years, and still goin' strong. Sometimes it just takes time to find someone that you can grow in the same direction at the same time. I'm not saying a soul mate because i think there are many souls that you can be compatible with. So just take the time to think about your past relationship and learn from it, Take what you now know and find someone else. Things can work out, it just takes time and patience.

You need to see your counselor and get some talk therapy to figure out what is going on. They may need to reevaluate your medication level. What are you doing to change your own mindset? Do you think positively? Do you set realistic goals? Are you actively dealing with the problems that set you on this path to depression?

Instead of just popping pills to make you feel better, take an active role in your recovery from chronic depression. You must do your homework, which isn't easy, but completely necessary, to heal and get on with your life. Being on antidepressants for a long time is not recommended. They have been known to "dull" your thinking and make some people walking zombies.

What is your fiance doing to support you?
